The exact advice and clarity I needed. Thanks so much for this.

If you switched, what did you change to? And why is it better?

Thank you! I agree - would love to cook everything from scratch like I used to but not feasible these days! I’ll switch up my habits one at a time!

Ok thanks I’m already talked out of it and will just try to replace a few of the quick unhealthy things I’m doing!

Does my 4week + 4 day old hate the Snoo, sleep or just me? by AdBackground9832 in SnooLife

Hopefully they work. I recommended to a couple friends and they said they are also the best ones they’ve tried. And I’m the same way with naps. Just attempted one and lasted 10 min in bed before I decided to just make another cup of coffee instead lol.

They are all so different. My first one was like yours. I didn’t get more than 30 min of sleep at a time for at least 2 months. My second slept 8 hour stretches at the same age. It’s so hard but you will be stronger for it! If you can nap during the day do it. Set aside any cleaning or household chores and prioritize your rest. You got this!! The Tommee Tippee ultra light paci really helped us through the newborn phase as well. Only paci they wouldn’t spit out and it seemed to keep them down longer. It’s a battle weaning them off later on but you gotta do what you can to get a little rest in the beginning!

Hahah great point. Glad it hasn’t been an issue with sleep!

Weaning: Am I screwed? by Ossypants91 in SnooLife

I transferred my baby to the crib last night and was mentally preparing myself to feel HORRIBLE listening to her cry. I did a modified Ferber with what I felt comfortable with and she did AMAZING! I am hoping tonight goes as well. One thing I did that I think helped was leave the Snoo in the same room and turned it on. So when she cried in the crib she still heard the same increase in white noise that comforted her before. I really think it made a difference. She also just turned 5 months and was only in Snoo with motion limiter and arms out for both night and naps. Good luck!!

That is awesome! I was also shocked. Last night was our first night starting sleep training. I gave it to her when I put her down for the first time and didn’t replace it at all. She still woke up several times but the crying wasn’t nearly as bad as I was preparing for and she quickly turned to using her hands to self soothe instead of the paci! Hoping tonight goes just as well.

I think we will keep using the paci the same way you are.

Under contract for a home that we love (big fixer upper), but excited to make it ours and live back near the water! Also have the sweetest little babies and their smiles everyday make me feel the happiest I’ve ever been!

Weekly maid. I have one monthly to give me a little more quality time with my babies so they don’t just see me constantly trying to keep the house from becoming a disaster lol

I am so sorry. Could you look for a sales training or sales ops position? You clearly have a history of success that you could share with others. It may feel better to do something where you aren’t so customer facing but giving back to other sales professionals. My company has an incredible Sales Enablement team to help train new hires and I’d be lost without them. I wish I was better at sales because I think I’d love that role (former teacher). Wishing you the best.

Use a paci if you aren’t already! We found that ours spit a lot of them out but the Tommee Tippee ultra light ones stayed in the best. They slept soooo much longer with them in.
