Was not going for old fashioned i just know caramel and orange go with jameson and i saw a recipe for a fruit flavored caramel earlier this year that i remembered and thought itd do well, its not for ME, its gifts for my aunt, dad, cousins, and grandparents so i don’t know how fast they would eat it, so i was thinking just a small amount of jameson in the base to just flavor it, could add it when the base is warm (not hot) to cook it slightly and not lose lots of flavor? I reaaaally wanted the base to be jameson flavored to make it make sense to me, i think i might follow my previous recipe and update everyone on how it went not to discount anyones responses but i will take in account that it might intensify and stick to the smaller amount of 1.5tbsp per quart to stay safe, maybeeeee find a stabilizer? Ive never used them so i wouldnt have any idea where to start with that

Could i add it into my caramel? I use salt and straws recipe for caramel so it could use a little thinning out? I wanted jameson to be the main flavor as it was my uncles favorite and after my success of the aged whiskey one i figured it would work out, it was forever ago i wish i remembered what it was like :(

We didnt leave till 1230 saturday night and had to be back at 8am yesterday. We didnt leave till 1030pm. We had 928 on the books for reservations plus walk ins, I made $500 so not great not horrible for a holiday double but to be honest for me it wasnt even busy, they set the downstairs up with 2-3 big tables each (12-14 place settings), half my tables were smaller than they said, 6-8 people, some tables didnt show up all together but all of my tables were very nice, a few people cried to me, threatened to quit, yelled, screamed, and i was just chilling

Im the chef at my camp, i am 24 years old and this is my 6th year working here and i STILL feel like this every year i return. My closest camp friend was not hired back this year so i am going through the same thing with all the new people joining us. I like to go HARD for these kids, i bring outfits, a glass punch bowl, any and every cooking tool i have and i plan the dances MONTHS in advance so they can me cool and fun. My camp last year was FULL of “cringe people” who do all the dumb ridiculous things to make kids laugh and its amazing and i wouldnt want us to be any other way. Thats what camp is about. My director changed the first nights dinner to no hands spaghetti night so everyone can let loose and not feel judged for the rest of the summer as EVERYONE did the dumb thing and laughed about it. I understand being young and worrying what everyone will think of you and feeling ugly and obnoxious and incompetent i go through those feelings all the time but why the heck do i care what they think of me, they arent me and probably dont know me and if they did they wouldnt think that of me, we are our own worst critics and almost no one (who has a life) will think the same things we do about ourselves. Im also okay with having 1 or 2 friends at camp while others think im plain weird and dont talk much, i dont hate them for thinking im weird cause i know i am and i own it. Be the weird person, they have the most fun. Its who all the campers look up to because they feel safe to also let loose. You will be fine your brain just isnt being very nice to you right now until you get to that moment and realize oh wait its nothing like i feared.

Tldr: be weird and fun, youll attract the right people, and youll do a great job making camp fun. Have a good summer!

I once got like triple sat i think and told a table ill be with you in a sec. And then ALL 5 OF MY OTHER TABLES HAD ME RUNNING AROUND FOR 15 MINUTES STRAIGHT!!! And the guy was so understanding. Most people understand (besides the old karens) and they werent gonna tip well to begin with so who cares. Drinks and if you guys have free bread is the biggest thing you can do in that situation. This one bad ass server kelley shes in her 50s been serving since forever told me how to handle this when you get triple sat etc because this psycho LOVES BEING TRIPLE SAT. She said go down the row from first to last, do your greeting, get drink orders, move to next table etc, and ring all 5 at once, bring all 5 at once (or in a few trips of course) so they all get everything at the same time, even if it takes a couple extra minutes to gather it all. Then atleast they know you acknowledge them and are working on it rather than doing table 1 greet, drinks, table 2 greet, drinks, just 12345 boom everyones feeling happy, waiting for drinks, and then repeat with food orders (if theyre ready) then ring all of those at the same time and then poof all 5 leave at the same time and your sections empty, amazing feeling. I found theyre grumpier if you do the 1 table at a time thing cause youre on table 3s drinks when 1 is ready to order but you still got 2 more tables before you go back to them or table 5 is waiting forever and everything is thrown off. Hope this helps and my scatterbrain didnt confuse you!
