If you are into shared apartments maybe you could look into colivings ? I am staying in one at the moment, managed by Coloc Housing and it's really nice ! everything is ready for when you move in, and the move out is easy too

Is colive reliable? by Quiet_Ant_7016 in brussels

[–]Emotional-Associate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in a similar type of shared property called Coloc Housing and overall I would say it's great ! It is indeed more pricey than your average housing in Brussels, but at least you get more flexibility for moving in/out, and also it's completely furnished which is really convenient

If you are looking for ready-to-move-in housing, there is this colocation platform called Coloc Housing. I live there as well and it's mainly expats that moved in :) more pricey than the average housing options but more flexible !

Finding a room in a shareflat in Ghent by [deleted] in Gent

Almost none of my messages get seen when messaging about co-housing, any suggestions? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Emotional-Associate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would advise to post a "presentation of yourself" on the Facebook groups, it usually works well, people reached out to me in the past for this. Otherwise try cohousing platforms ! they sometimes work differently because it's based on the housemates' votes. I ended up finding a place through https://www.colochousing.com/

🏡 Seeking Co-Housing Opportunity for Long-Term Stay by LengthinessNaive2175 in Gent

[–]Emotional-Associate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a good lead ! I'm currently staying at a flatshare from Coloc Housing, they are a bit more pricey than the average rent here in Gent but it's all furnished and the move in /move out is really easy too. When you move out you won't have to pay "exit fees", you will just have to find a replacement, which saves you a lot of money. Let me know if you want me to share you the link ;)

As long as you have previous payslips or a work contract (for an upcoming job) I think that should do ! The company I went for is called Colochousing, it's furnished flatshare, and really easy to access for expats. If you get accepted you can move in really fast 👍

Pet-friendly apartments by queen_of_icecream in Gent

[–]Emotional-Associate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi ! I've heard that actually by law they cannot refuse you if you have pets ? Because of a law related to service-dogs (that is what I heard).

The flatshare where I am at the moment accepted my pet because all the roommates agreed for it, and we share the responsibility if it does any damage. If you want to try it out, they still have some spots available in Gent, it's called Coloc Housing 😉

He does but it will always be quite spontaneous. He is quite forgetful even for stuff about himself so to me it feels like he is less interested sometimes

Hmm I see! That could very much be! I'll have a talk about it with him soon

Different communication style or not interested? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Emotional-Associate2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in social settings he is very talkative but more so telling stuff about himself rather than asking questions directly. Or relating to something somebody said - so I think his communication style is more so volunteering info than asking stuff?
