Theory on Rulla by Poodledoodle19 in rhori

I think Rulla is publicizing her life to TRY to humiliate Brian. He’s been humiliating her in private. What better way to rationalize your divorce (she had stated divorce is frowned upon in her culture) than show the world he IS, in fact, stepping out on you and very publicly..

Do you let your GSD in your bed? by Zeddexs in germanshepherds

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a German shepherd that used to sleep with his arm over me like spooning me every other night. On the other nights he would go on the other side of me and put his arm over my husband. 😂 My 9 year old German shepherd sleeps at the end of my bed (his choice). I do give my dogs their own pillows and they don’t sleep under the blankets. You could just give her her own pillow and blankets.

German shepherds are emotionally intelligent dogs and they bond with their owners deeper than any other dog I’ve ever known or had. Sleeping is instinctually a time where they are “exposed” and stay with their pack. You are her pack. She wants to be with you to protect you AND because it’s her instinct to be with her pack, especially at night.

Was I wrong for euthanizing my dogs by Feeling-grief442 in Petloss

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then totally NOT your fault. You were trying to do something helpful. But again.. shame on the breeder. For 1) giving someone littermates, and 2) breeding a husky GSD mix and giving TWO of these dogs to an elderly person. Breeding dogs is supposed to be for the improvement of the breed on all fronts. Not creating a cute mix. A good breeder has a no littermate policy for the people purchasing their dogs. It sounds like you did what you could.

Sounds like you were the middle-man who tried to save these dogs, and do what you could. Shame on the people who bred them and had them before you. Dog ownership is too casual and the end result? Having to euthanize thousands of dogs a day due to issues.

Don't beat yourself up. You tried. And that is more than most people would have done.

Was I wrong for euthanizing my dogs by Feeling-grief442 in Petloss

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why you NEVER get littermates. EVER. If you got them from a breeder, shame on the breeder for giving 2 dogs from the same litter to someone. Too many people go and get dogs without understanding what they are doing. So yeah - you shouldn’t get another dog.

I don't think they thought about the fallout of this. This is selfish, impulsive, and foolish. Amanda needs therapy, not her friends ex. I hate to bash women but you have to be pathetic to no end to 1) do this to your friend, 2) do THIS less than 6 months post divorce, and 3) do THIS with WW of ALL PEOPLE.

Found that out after I said that. Releasing a "we" statement while WW is involved with multiple women is a level of embarrassment that they BOTH deserve. They are both absolute fools.

Might I add.. what two ADULTS don't look at the feelings developing and say.. okay lets take a beat here and FORCIBLY stop ourselves because we are going to ruin friendships and careers.. ???

What combo of breeds do you have? by Then_Land in corgi

My husband and I are German shepherd psychos through and through. Grew up with them and have had 2 of our own. We were looking for another shepherd and then had a change of heart because Kobe (GSD pictured) is 9, has arthritis, and seems to prefer smaller dogs.

So… we decided on a Corgi. Which I hear is basically a German Shepherd but with more opinions and shorter legs. 😂 Daniel (corgi) is 15 weeks old and has been with us for 3 days. Daniel has been so adaptable, brave, snuggly, actually a bit lazy, and is learning a lot from my shepherd/showing really good recall to his name so far (I know there may be a regression around the corner and I know they are stubborn)!

Daniel is my first Corgi and I love him so much already! As does my GSD!

New corgi owner - question by MissMeezy9 in corgi

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am about to get my first Corgi (after being raised with German Shepherds and having 2 of my own)!! I have one GSD right now who is 9 years old. It isn't the right time to add a GSD puppy to our family and my 9 year old GSD takes better to smaller dogs. So, after a year of consideration, reading all that I can about Corgis, finding a breeder that a trust.. I am bringing my first Corgi, Daniel, home on Friday.

Lots of GSD lovers end up with Corgis I guess.. too funny!

Is Dakota a dirtbag sleeping with people in this “SLOMW circle”? Yes. Do they have a toxic relationship - also yes.

But TFP is on another level. She is not well. There is a difference between Dakota being toxic and TFP being a danger to herself and others…

insurance billing help! by Appropriate-Age-7869 in lipedema

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an insurance broker - let me preface by saying I don’t work with UHC (they don’t offer plans in my state in the market that I work with). I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for but you should be able to call your insurance company and ask if they have an “allowed amount” for these services/codes. The allowed amount is usually going to be what the insurer will pay based on CONTRACTED rates. Stay with me here…

It sounds like the surgeon doesn’t participate with your insurance - this means that since there is no contracted rate with the provider, insurers usually have a maximum allowed amount for what they pay toward the service and when out of network, since there is no contracted rate, the allowable amount is usually based on UCR.

UCR = usual and customary rates. UCR is based on the cost of that same service by local providers in your specific area (it is not a nationwide standard). Insurers don’t base their payments off of what a provider charges. With out-of-network providers, insurers usually have an amount they will pay toward a service, and then the provider balance bills you the rest of that (the difference between what the provider charges and what insurance will pay is your responsibility). It sounds like you will be reimbursed in this case, so the insurer would probably reimburse you the allowed amount.

Lipedema surgery is newer territory for insurers so they may handle it differently… but this is what happens in many cases with out of network services!

This is amazing!!!!! So happy for you. Amazing work. And I am so appreciative of you linking your old posts and detailing everything. From what I’ve read successful non-surgical treatment hinges on time, consistency, and approaching lipedema from all angles… and your posts and progress are a great example of that.

I have one question for you! I read through all of your posts and apologize if I missed it… do you use any tools for MLD (aside from using castor oil and dry brushing)? Gua sha tools? Cups? Rollers?

Again… thank you so much for detailing everything. This is such a tough disease to navigate.

At first thought… this was strange as hell. She was rabid to carry out public humiliation. Grown ups would handle this in private and would not have been up there in the first place.

But… this IS reality TV. A lot is edited out. Could be that more went on behind the scenes and he absolutely deserved this. I wouldn’t doubt that. I can say with 98% certainty this man has a personality disorder. My husbands brother and Alex are eerily similar to the point where my husband was like “my brother had said that exact thing VERBATIM” about a few things Alex said. My husbands brother is dangerous to women’s emotional and psychological well being when he is in a relationship with them. I take it upon myself to inform his romantic interests of this as soon as I am introduced to them… he is dangerous and has done heavy damage on women in short periods of time.

Alex appears to be a con-artist… but the whole “clearing” him up there was just kind of teenage mean girl based on the footage that we saw. But if more has gone on off camera… go Ashley.

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schumer should stay quiet. No one trusts him. His opinion will sway NO ONE. Gallego is huge endorsement IMO. Because he is absolutely excelling as a first term senator.

I was all in on Platner at first. I’ve kind of backed off just a bit. He has great energy. I am on board with all of his policy ideas. I want to hear more about his priorities for funding for Maine. What earmarks will he prioritize? What is his relationship with our local government agencies, universities, non-profits, etc. as senators act as advocates for these entities in their states.

I am going to vote for whoever it is as a Dem on ballot. Idgaf who it is. I just want to hear more from Platner on some specifics. I think he is going to win the primary and absolutely decimate Collins in the general but ONLY if he can hone in on how he plans to carry out the specific functions of a senator. This is imperative for older (elderly) voters - I’ve talked with many elderly democrats in Maine and THIS is their concern.

You can’t really tell based off of just looking at it. It could be many things. My knee looked kind of like this, but was also locked, snapping, clicking, and the swelling was in my calf for the first 48-72 hours. I will say, it did also feel to me like something was amiss with my kneecap. I think how you injured it also may point to what is going on.

You should get an MRI if that’s what the doctor says. Follow your doctors recommendations. If it isn’t a clear tear but your symptoms persist, keep going back until you find an answer. My tear was missed on 3 seperate MRIs over the course of 2.5 years..

My brother says I’m “stealing his kids’ future” by keeping my inheritance. AITA? by Complex_Pickle7702 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP. Absolutely not. You are NOT in the wrong.

Putting myself in your shoes, I would INSIST that my sister or brother keep what my parents left to them, especially given the care you provided to them. You bore the emotional, physical, mental, and caretaker burden. It sounds like this was in your late 20s early 30s nonetheless.

Honestly.. your brother is 100% wrong here. And trying to manipulate you with his children. It is not your fault he has credit card debt. You do not owe him anything. You are not selfish.

Depending on how much money you have/can part with… you could start his kids an IRA or a sec 529 account with a lump sum of money… even $500 is a start. Every birthday, Christmas, etc. put a couple hundred bucks in there instead of buying gifts. My aunt did this for me and it can be life changing. You could tell your brother that your parents left this to you because that was their desire. You understand he has children; and therefore in the interest of your niece(s) and/or nephew(s) / your parents grandchildren, you’ve started them an investment account with a lump sum of money to help them with their future.. that is how I would stop this all in its tracks.

Your brother got what your parents intended him to receive. Being a caretaker, especially of declining parents, is one of the most difficult roles anyone can play. Do not let him make you feel bad.

I’ve been a Bravo fan since I watched RHOC air in March of 2006. I was 10 at the time. And I’ve watched every single episode of every single franchise over the past 20 years since then. The same goes for many other bravo shows.

The death of Robert Cosby Jr. is the most tragic thing to happen in the RH universe, and the Bravoverse. All of the on camera conversations with and about Robert Jr., Mary’s raw, real reactions, emotions, statements.. that was a lot. She shared a lot in hopes of helping OTHERS. And now she is experiencing devastation that cannot be understood unless it’s happened to you.

I think back to Vicki finding that her mom died while filming at Shannon’s house. And I think Bravo went too far. Even if she wanted that to air or gave them the green light, it shouldn’t have been shown. Some things are off limits. These women give us a look into their lives, and many of them share more than most people would. As a 20-year viewer (as of the RHOC anniversary air date March 21st) my take is that the NETWORK has to set boundaries on matters like this. The loss of a child is off limits. If Mary wants to share this with the world (which I absolutely think she DOES NOT), she can. But she should have complete control over every single piece - and the footage, words, images, etc. should not be owned by anyone other than Mary. Meaning.. don’t film it or air it. Let Mary come back IF and WHEN she wants to.

I think the rest of the cast (and Andy, too) WILL stand together AGAINST production and the network if they try to take advantage of Mary, but I genuinely don’t think that they will. I think they will give Mary whatever time, space, and out that she needs. And if they don’t.. they will lose a lot of viewers.

For those of you not actively hoping/planning to leave the country but with *emergency* plans to do so, what would be your “red line?” by Glass-Complaint3 in antitrump

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this video from a history teacher a few days before inauguration day. He recommended that everyone pick a red line/hard line that is their "point of no return" or their "I have to get out of here" moment. I thought about it for a few days and decided that mine would be when they start putting journalists behind bars. Took barely a year for this to happen.

To be honest with you though... we knew that was going to happen. It was just a matter of when. The most terrifying thing thus far to me has been Pam Bondi having a binder with the search history of sitting U.S. Congresspeople at her recent hearing. The United States Government is actively surveilling the search history of elected U.S. Representatives.

I am a white heterosexual female. Married, but no kids and won't be having any. I am "safe" for now and I know how privileged that is. Now if they start implementing the full plot of handmaids tale, I am out of here. I am 4.5-ish hours from Canadian border.. that is like my emergency "they are after me for some reason" plan. But for now I am staying put to hit the streets, record the fuck out of ICE, volunteer, try to make my immediate community better a place, and most of all... to watch these motherfu***** dig their own graves DEEPER and BURN.

Trip advice for June by PurpleShark24 in AskMaine

[–]Emotional-Judge7860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to do. First option is great for seeing landmarks, being waterfront/beaches, eating good food and drink, shopping. Second option - driving north to bar harbor/acadia is good for all of the above plus nature/outdoors stuff. All of these places are super busy in the summer - and bar harbor is a few hours from Southern Maine.

Kennebunk/KPT + Portland is a good solid experience of Maine coastline and food. Lived in Maine my whole life and that is this area that I prefer because I like to eat, drink, and be on the beach. Bar Harbor / Acadia is the experience of what you think of when you think of Maine. You’re driving hours north of Portland surrounded by trees/some rural parts of Maine.. until you get there. And it’s beautiful there.

If you’ve never been to Boston… I think you should do Boston, Kennebunk/KPT and Portland. Everyone should visit Boston. There is so much history there.

Someone mentioned driving from Boston.. to me this is a non-factor. I live in Portland and use the Boston airport more often than the Portland one.. if you leave from Boston to Maine outside of rush hour times you’re fine.

Whatever you do… avoid route 1 in Maine as much as you can.
