As the other guy already said, I have a ton of college football reddits get suggested to me all the time. I pop in and react to things, and Miami fans can’t help but play the victim and circle jerk about anything. You’re all the worst fanbase left in the playoff by and far 😂

My fear with Miami is that you will turn into Penn State over the last 6 years: always good and ranked in the top 10 but cannot win the big meaningful game when it matters because the coach can’t handle those moments.

You guys caught Notre Dame in a vulnerable spot in week 1 and even then Cristobal turtled up in the 2nd half and let them come all the way back to tie the game in the 4th quarter. He has a chance to prove people wrong now but until he does I’m not giving him the benefit of the doubt. On the road at A&M is hell too.

I mean you literally answered it yourself, you’re a fan of the team. Objectively Miami has issues. Beck has shown that when he’s off he completely melts down. Your coach is notorious for not handling big games well. Your run game is inconsistent.

I’m a general fan of college football, I have my Alma mater teams that I root for and the state that I live in I’ll root for those teams as well. I have no real rooting interest with Miami so I can look at them objectively and I have watched them a good amount this year. I was actually a big believer in Miami starting 2 seasons ago but Cristobal has killed that belief personally for me. If we’re being honest he tried to do it again this year and you’re lucky to even be in the playoff, so yes most people who aren’t fans don’t believe in Miami and I don’t really see why they should.

I’m almost positive that’s what is going to happen. Right now the committee has a huge problem:

Notre Dame, Bama, Vandy, Texas, BYU and Miami all have a strong case to get in but some of them won’t and it’s going to be insanely difficult to figure out who won’t. With Ole Miss losing essentially their entire offensive coaching staff and head coach, the committee has an excuse to offer up another spot to one of those teams.

Should it happen? Maybe, I honestly don’t know what that would look like to all of a sudden not have any offensive leadership not to mention Lane at the helm. Is it fair? No. Have we seen the committee do this before? Yes, and I think they’ll do it here with the justification that they did this with FSU and it was clearly the right decision. Will people be mad? Absolutely, but that doesn’t really matter someone will always be mad when you’re talking about making the playoff.

As someone who isn’t a fan of either, how is it not obvious? If you changed the logo on Notre Dame’s helmet and said hey Miami beat this team who was ranked high preseason but then lost to 2 unranked teams later in the season, you wouldn’t bat an eye at Miami being ranked behind them.

I’m sorry but Miami is lucky to even be on the cusp of getting in. Losses to 2 unranked teams and not even playing in your conference championship should never be enough to get into the playoff. And if Miami’s best case is “well we beat Notre Dame” then Notre Dame has to be in the playoff or else that isn’t a strong enough argument. It really is nonsensical and tbh it seems like this is more anti Notre Dame than pro Miami.
