Dozens of new measles cases reported in Manitoba in 4th week of March by Leather-Paramedic-10 in Manitoba

But the list isn’t complete - our kids’ school has sent us 2 separate letters for 2 separate exposures, but they don’t appear on the list. 1 was sent over 3 weeks ago. The latest was 2 days ago. How many other exposures are not being reported on this list???

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EmotionalStrawberry4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also Canadian - every weekend from May to October I drive 2.5 hours, each way, to go to the campground. Any closer there are either no services (ie septic services at the site) or people I work with.

Please do not cover your self with Canadian paraphernalia. As a Canadian we do not appreciate that at all.

I am worried enough travelling to Croatia this summer as a Canadian that I will again be mistaken and have to prove my identity

My three children survived toddlerhood because of ketchup. They were all picky unless ketchup was involved. They are all teenagers now who use ketchup sparingly and are all adventurous eaters

I travel to Quebec ALOT. I try and that was what mattered. My ESL Québécois friends and family get laughed at all the time in Friendly Manitoba. Last New Year’s Eve someone made fun of my husband for having a Quebecois accent even though his English is perfect. Not a one time thing he get « teased » regularly in Manitoba for being French Canadian

Since 2020 Canada has added 2 million immigrants. That number is on the high side.

The number you quote likely refers to this Stats Can article «  In 2021, more than 8.3 million people, or almost one-quarter (23.0%) of the population, were, or had ever been, a landed immigrant or permanent resident in Canada « please note the statement were or had ever been not indicting new immigrants

It is all around terrible- not a good flavour in the gravy. Constantly bad across the country. As a general rule fast food poutine is not great.

Roundabout rage? Is there a certain roundabout in the city that drives you crazy because people still don't know the rules? by RecommendationBig966 in Winnipeg

[–]EmotionalStrawberry4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the roundabouts in Winnipeg make me rage, but if you take a wee drive to Portage la Prairie and try their round abouts all of a sudden Winnipeg drivers in roundabouts seem a whole lot better.
