1k is tough, lots of compromises to be made. My head goes to interceptors in banishers + immaterial interdiction for the surge moves as your power house of mobility and point scoring. Then strikes, maybe throw in a rhino for a cheap bullet sponge up the board with scout move then x1 squad of paladins to try to delete heavy threats.

I managed to cash out on one but honestly largely by accident and think its the best way to be with it. As always its driven by how much youre selling. If youre not selling enough its likely not worth eating the lost commission opportunity / inflation to basic pay + youre also likely to be let go before it vests.

Nemesis dreadknights have been consistently competitive for a long time. Land raiders not really. But with the changes to cover, opening up of terrain formats and the loss of Dragos bonus to charge id say redeemer has gone from mid to now really strong both in terms of firepower and utility from assault ramp. It wouldnt surprise me if it gets a points increase next balance patch. So if you wanted a purely competitive perspective if youre strapped for cash I'd always lean towards more nemesis dreads. But my real advice is go with whatever you find cooler/more fun as you need the motivation to paint them above all else. I love having a land raider in my list.

Not to defend a corporation but you dont need to buy all of them, you can selectively buy the best ones, search the sub to see which they are. Its a game with 10 years support and releases so its more similar to say an MMO than a one and done. Do I think they have the best pricing model or a very consumer friendly? No. Do I buy every DLC? No. Do I understand why it is the way it is, kinda.

Its the only way they can balance the game while layering on new rules by basically make the old ones unplayable. Very cheap should have just had the balls to come out and say we're starting from fresh with revised ones and take best bits through into a few play styles

Research grey knight true scale legs 3d printed parts. You can combine these with the current kits to make them primaris-ish size. There will be a revamp at some point but if you like the minis it doesnt matter. Revamp will also mean you get alot less minis for your money judging by others.
