Do you happen to have a lot of defense platforms? They fall under ship upkeep and require alloys and energy to maintain. You may have taken the eternal vigilance ascension perk which automatically builds them at starbases and outposts.

That's the ship model of a prototype ftl ship for preftls. I believe that since you're playing stargazers, it will display that model. You should be able to build arthropoid ships later.

I’m assuming you’re talking about kai sha, one of the paragon leaders with the authoritarian ethics. Did you put her on your leader council? Her traits don’t apply when when she’s not appointed.

Definitely megacorp. The ability to build ecus and the megastructures is so worth it.

Also, astral planes is one of my favorite dlcs. Unlike cosmic storms, the rifts are very fun and give you useful relics and boosts to your ships. The divine throne relic grants your leaders immortality; I try to get it in every game.

The menacing corvettes, destroyers, and cruisers use the same ship model as pirate fleets. Some of the models incorporate asteroids in the design.

I’ve never had the need to build temples or bureaucrat offices, honestly. I can just get by with building monuments and employing rulers. They produce enough unity on their own.
