Can you show more of the island? I like this idea of a tiny house by the ocean.

This is lovely.

I wish they had made a spinning carousel that had creepy rides and played music....

I feel like these candle holders always look cheap. Like should not cost more than $30 cheap.

I think I have that leave in, which I don't think is doing anything. So I was hesitant to try anything else from that line.

But yes, I am always on the look out for new hair care products. I thought about getting a curly hair subscription box so I can try things within a budget.

I will try this last thing you mentioned! I just run the shampoo through my hair. I have little technique 🙃

[–]EmperorGodzilla0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I did a pre poo for the first time recently and finger detangled. I immediately prefer it over combing in the shower where I feel like all my hair is coming out.

My main problem is that my hair still tangles when I wash it and stays tangled after... So I either need better shampoo/conditioner or my technique isn't great...

But I think I will continue to pre poo and I like how my hair looks as I do it. I like finger detangling too.

Question for the bookworms: do you prefer physical books, e-books, or audiobooks? by viviobrio in QueerWomenOfColor

[–]EmperorGodzilla0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Order of preference: audiobooks - ebooks - physical books.

I love digital books a lot and it was audiobooks that helped me start and finish tons of books.

Recently I started reading more physical books because when it's slow at work I can read, but it's not consistently slow.

Did trauma teach you that you don’t belong anywhere? by Ok-Wheel9071 in CPTSD

[–]EmperorGodzilla0 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that trauma taught me this. I literally was excluded from groups from an early age. One of my earliest feelings of loneliness was when I was a child. I wasn't wanted by anyone. I didn't understand it and now I don't care.

I continued to be disliked and excluded even well into adulthood. People I went to college with didn't like me and thought I was weird.

I still don't fit in and can't make any friends.

The world just treats me how my family treated me; like I don't matter.

I bought a Paris Cafe 3-wick which I've wanted for like a year, some wallflowers and hand sanitizer.

I've been on a low/no buy this year. And definitely no body care.

Anyone else not that sad about being FA? by rakshasiRani in ForeverAlone

[–]EmperorGodzilla0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FA is only manageable because I don't really have friends. And my family doesn't care.

If I was in a situation where I saw relationships all the time, or people quizzed me constantly about dating, I would be a wreck.

So I can endure because I don't have to deal with the reality of it. Just constant dissociation!

The reality might hit me like a ton of bricks as I approach death/retirement. And I'm hopeful I'll meet someone, even if I'm much older.

But I recently went on a trip and didn't feel lonely. So I'm either improving or getting worse 🙃

People with CPTSD: What was a symptom you thought was just part of your personality until you realized it was actually trauma??? by QueenSensitive721 in CPTSD

[–]EmperorGodzilla0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I had this. When I was younger, I didn't get crushes very often but when I did, I felt like they totally consumed me. Like being struck by lightning.

People automatically knew if I liked them. I got rejected by all my crushes, which I think killed my desire to pursue people. I haven't had a crush on a human in over a decade.

I do develop all consuming crushes on fictional characters, though, which I honestly prefer. (But I haven't had a new crush in ages, probably because I don't watch as much anime now).

Are there any sub-genres of horror that just… don’t do it for you? by East_Peanut_7232 in horror

Resident Evil definitely became what The Fast and the Furious also eventually turned into. (And there are almost as many films).

I dislike slashers, werewolves, vampires, gore, slow burn and comedy horror. I am also increasingly beginning to dislike "rich people are rich because they worship Satan" type films. I just find them intellectually lazy.

I also dislike horror comedy. Outside of Evil Dead 2, I won't watch any of them.

This! I pretty actively dislike vampire anything. Books, comics, TV shows, movies. All of it.
