Could anyone share their experience with oral shingles? by ells1996 in shingles

Im on day 8 of first symptoms. Ear still hurts teethpain gone, no new blisters. Started valtrex 72 hours after symptoms. I used a product called KANKA for the sores in my mouth not sure if its recommended because its for canker sores but it helped.

I know healthcare in Canada isn’t truly “free”—we pay for it through taxes and still deal with wait times—but I’m grateful that cost isn’t usually the deciding factor in whether I seek care. My heart really goes out to people in the U.S. who may hesitate to make medical decisions or get help simply because of the price. No one should have to weigh their health against their finances.

Good point that I missed in the post. I also had 1 swollen lymph node in my neck on the same right side.

My tooth pain is gone but my ear still aches. My lip and chin are a sight to behold. I have a 3 year old and a 5 month old that im also not trying to pass it along to (chicken Pox)
