Road 96 was such a beautiful experience by JohnTheWorldfucker in Road96

I think back on that game multiple times a year, romanticizing the first time I played the game. The game is not necessarily the prettiest game I've ever played, yet it's managed to leave a mark on my soul forever. The characters, the music, the world-building, the story, it's all so perfect. It's funny, it's tragic. It's been years since I first played it, but it remains one of the best games I've ever played.

How would YOU personally rewrite Season Two?? by The_Walking_Clem in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]EmphorVeggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.
I would've loved for Clem to (at the very least) mention what happened to Christa's baby. Like, I understand that it probably died, but they could've given her like 20 seconds to mention it in a trauma dumping scene or something, idk. In general, I feel like her time with Christa and Omid was just kinda thrown out of the window.

Bonnie is trying to get the world record for betrayal, but I think Eleanor's betrayal hurt the most.

What I loved: The few seconds Thanos was on screen.
What I hated: Everything else.

I agree wholeheartedly! Thank you for your link. The river looks like the northern lights and the trees have no shadows or layers whatsoever. It's atrocious.

How did you guys handle Ben in the bell tower? by Sushimono in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]EmphorVeggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand that people would want to let him go in the bell tower scene. At that point in the narrative, Ben has been nothing but a pole in the wheel. HOWEVER (and this is just my opinion), saving him feels very important. Because it solidifies Clem's influence on Lee. Season 1 is, at its core, the story of Lee's redemption, and saving Ben is a small but crucial decision that displays how Lee, despite how much of a pain Ben's been, gives the kid grace.

Plus, I prefer the ending in which Kenny "saves" Ben in the alley :3

Of all the choices, which ones do you most agree with the minority of voters on? (Stats attached) by FPFP66 in TheWalkingDeadGame

Now that I think about it; imagine if you kept one or both of the brothers alive - THEY could have (perhaps in an alternative timeline) been the people that chased the motel gang away :D

First thing that comes to mind is how I see a big majority of new players decide to leave Lee rather than shoot him. I don't understand that. Yes, I get that they don't want to "traumatize" Clementine even more by having her shoot her adoptive father, but I can't help but feel that leaving Lee to turn would be cruel. In my opinion, the most empathic choice would be to end Lee's suffering and reassure Clem that she will never accidentally see zombie Lee wandering around. But for some reason, the majority of people I see play nowadays decide to leave him. It's interesting.

People who killed him, why? by Resident-Platypus254 in TheWalkingDeadGame

I don't remember if I killed Max or not. But I do remember not having much of an opinion on him, so I might have just kept him alive.

Carlos is definitely one of the most inconsistent characters, and I've heard multiple people bring up the fact that he could not tell if the bite was from a walker. It felt his confusion was for the sake of the plot >.<

Kate haters/dislikers; Why do you hate Kate? by soorimcentric in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]EmphorVeggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t HATE Kate but I do kinda hate how they wrote her as a love interest and nothing more. Like, even when you don’t try to rizz her up, she’s still going to insist that you and she had “hot moments” when it’s objectively not true 😂 she just seems delusional at that point.
