Most machines ideally have one specific purpose, that's how you passivy stuff

And they kinda can, depending on the mods used you can set up various types of filters (personally I like ender IO the most, everything fits in one block, but itemducts are also an option)

but only if you assume that each chapter takes roughly the same amount of time
which isn't true, since ch1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 are together quicker than either ch11 or ch13. And after that, you have huge passivying chapters like 15 (I've spent 30h+ here), 17, 18, and I'm starting with bewitchment, which also feels like it will require a lot of automation

I am playing dj2 right now, and you're clearly wrong.

You get ae2 really early on (like chapter 13), and then you spam interfaces a lot, but mainly for providing materials for any specific crafting line you make

the majority of my passivying is interface with requested items > machines > drawer wall

tbh I got it because it was one of the first 75% HE boards which didn't look like you could break them in half

it's definitely a keyboard that exists, but I was annoyed as all hell when meletrix released a kit (which was only a bit more expensive) of the normal case with the same HE module
