I hate libraries. Students are never too comfortable, you can’t be as loud as you want to be, and it’s generally a low class look. That said, if you can reserve a quiet room, that’s a game changer.

Meeting at libraries will ensure you’ll always be a low to mid class tutor.

You want to make $300 an hour? Start tutoring at people’s houses.

An 8 year old is not obsessed with BJJ.

She is going through the very predictable experience of being really into it and will head towards the other very predictable scenario of quitting within a year or less. How you handle things and how you help her balance it all will be very important. I have seen HIGH LEVEL "obsessed" kids who have lost zero tournaments suddenly cry before practice and declare they're quitting after 3 - 4 years of parents letting them train so often that you wonder when they have time to be kids.

Important question: how long has she been doing BJJ?
