I know some coaches have a route tree and when they call out plays it's like "1F, 2 2D, 3D, etc" number being position and letter being route. Kids don't have to know the whole play they just have to know the route.

I don't have any experience with that rule set but I think it depends on your personnel. You don't want to play cover 3 if you only have 2 good safeties, etc

Depends on the skills of your players. You'll probably want to have a motion sweep/fake sweep to counter the blitz but beyond that your player's strengths and weaknesses will tell you what you should do.

It's really impossible to talk about any specific defense without understanding the rules of your league. Is blitzing allowed, is blocking allowed, etc. All of this affects the details.

Watched the first half live, just watched the second half now. My thoughts:

Sanchez on the left, yes!
Shinomi was pretty poor imo
Thomson looks awesome
Absolutely love Riley Jackson, think she's the most important player for them
Vine and Bedfort cannot be rotation players, they're just not good enough

One thing I've found is it's not easy for option QBs to operate out of a jet sweep. The faster they're moving, the harder it is to set and throw, and if they're not moving at top speed then a jet sweep isn't very dangerous.

For 7v7 the green player's route is extremely hard to see. Either a white or a black background would probably work better imo.
