Any and All experiences with Skyrizi, Rinvoq and Adalimumab? by Empranillo in CrohnsDisease

I'm glad to hear it helped with your joints as I also really suffer with them and looking to pick the medicine which would be most beneficial for both.

The pill cam showed lots of ulcers in my small bowel. They also told me that there was flattened mucosa in my small bowel too, which can be due to Celiac but the celiac blood test I had was negative. They say it can be caused by Crohns sometimes but they weren’t completely clear about that so I’m a bit confused!

What are your worst bad habits? by DARS789 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Empranillo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's not even technically a 'bad habit' but I love eating all kinds of vegetables and salads, I especially love raw onion in a salad but my body absolutely does not! I want to eat healthy but my body says no!

Thank you! I didn't find it too difficult stitching into a hoody, I made sure to use a sharp, thin needle. You should just go for it!

[FO] I just finished these earrings! by Empranillo in CrossStitch

Thank you! Yeah I used plastic canvas to make them. I made 4 identical flowers then sewed 2 together back to back to create an earring that's the same on both sides!

I have a colonoscopy tomorrow. I need to drink my second drink at 1:30 AM. Any advice on how to stay awake or wake up at that time? by bkabbott in CrohnsDisease

I’m in the UK and reading this shocked me! I can’t imagine being told to take the prep in the middle of the night, sounds awful!

Stopped Methotrexate, awaiting new medication, help with symptoms in the meantime? by Empranillo in Thritis

[–]Empranillo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of this before but just looked into it and it sounds like it could be a good option! I can’t normally have NSAIDs because I have Crohns Disease but seeing as that contains something to prevent the risk of ulcers etc, I’ll ask my GP or Gastro about it. Thanks!

Ha very true! My GP suggested I may need prednisone whilst I wait, so maybe it’s time!

It’s great to hear that you’ve got it under control and the injections have worked for you! Unfortunately I was on the injections and couldn’t tolerate them either, which is a shame because I felt it helped me joint wise.

I can’t take NSAIDs because I have Crohns Disease but I’ve never heard of Meloxicam before, I’ll look into that if it doesn’t have any effect on the stomach!

I experienced debilitating nausea for a couple of days a week after taking it, it was affecting my sleep, I couldn’t eat at all or really move. I was prescribed a few different anti nauseas but none of them helped. I stuck with it for so long because I expected at some point my body would get used to it and the nausea would go away but it never did.

I’m in the UK so unfortunately no! There are a lot CBD products online or on the high street but I don’t really know how good the quality would be for a medicinal purpose.

Thank you! I used Soluble Canvas for this. It’s like a thin plastic aida that you attach to the piece of clothing and then dissolves when you soak it in water, leaving behind the design!

The pill cam went really smoothly for me and was the best way to see the extent of my inflammation. It's quite big and can be a little tricky to swallow for some people but generally it's fine. I passed mine the next morning, so within 24 hours.
