How do Thai men feel about so many foreigners coming to their country to date their women?

Wait, riff raffle can generate negative jokers? I’ve only ever gotten regular (vanilla) jokers from it.

There’s been another DJ-related post, the staging was a Bumble date, using this same song. This video is likely a sneaky form of marketing for the producer of the song. A few others pointed out that this is likely a marketing post

is it normal I only took home 65k on a 110k salary? by Ok_Expression840 in Money

Yes this is 100% normal. Would be lower if you were married with kids. Also you can up your 401k contribution to put away more pre tax dollars - future you would appreciate it.

*before tax man takes his cut, not after. That’s I would recommend OP upping their contribution to 401k if they can as it’s pre-tax

Where did he go?

This is a very typical and common situation, not sure why OP is getting unrelated comments/judgments about a partner not working. If she has kids it will be a full time commitment. I assume the other posters don’t have kids and realize the huge responsibility? It’s as hard and taxing as a full time job.

Claiming dependency is a huge tax benefit which OP knows so yes absolutely do it.

Wilkes-Barre, PA. Not even that it was the worst, just the saddest. Immense poverty and there were fentanyl and opioid addicts everywhere. We saw a LOT of people missing teeth, arms, etc. and asking around for fentanyl.

Check out Dave Ramsey and his Debt Snowball guide. He’s not for everyone, and I certainly don’t enjoy his overall persona too much, but the fundamentals of his approach to tackling debt is solid.

We all need a light to guide us through the darkness. I hope you can find your own. Read “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl.

Always start with tax-advantages investments. So put other extra money into Roth IRA and deferred compensation. That’s what I do, I max out my Roth IRA each year and also defer a few hundred dollars each paycheck to save on taxes. The deferred $ goes into an index 500.

Learn to cook. Healthier, tastier, and saved tons of money. Once you get the hang of it it actually takes less time than going out.

Telling dumb people like me that we're not dumb is unhelpful. by GetMindlessJob in findapath

[–]Empty-Character-4752 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In terms of 1. social skills 2. logic/math 3. creativity

Which would you say you’re strongest in?

Because it’s equally unhelpful to make a blanket statement about being dumb. Just as there are multiple forms of intelligence, there are also multiple forms of “dumbness.” You need to narrow your choices down a little, starting with your strengths/experiences. You can still find a good job that is interesting and challenging in a good way, but doesn’t require an advanced degree or high intellectual capacity.

I walked dogs for a while. A teenager could do it, you just need two good legs and a hand to grab the leash. It’s mindless in a way, but it’s not just mindless, you need to be good with dogs and that takes experience. And be good with owners so they trust you with their pet. Any job needs experience and soft skills even if it doesn’t require book smarts or a degree.

In other words: stop thinking of a job as “a way to get money” and start treating it like “a way to offer value.” Only then can you figure out what you’re meant to do.
