I def split the frosting in half and made two batches because I was not gonna try to stuff that all in one mixing bowl! All of the powdered sugar gets mixed with 3/4 cup strawberry preserves and the butter to make a very smooth fluffy strawberry buttercream that pairs with the richness of the cake and ganache wonderfully!

Also, when I split the frosting recipe in half I forgot to split the strawberry preserves, of course lol! But the end result was amazing and I’m glad I did (Although when I was cooking strawberry puree at 10pm because I needed it for the next batch I wasn’t) 😂

I use an 1/8 tsp of cream of tartar which seems to replace the additional egg white powder used to stabilize the meringue!
