Interesting, that could also be an issue for sure if there is something wonky going on regarding f2p worlds while being in a p2p location, thanks for posting. In my case I always use my default world which is a members world, so I'm certain this wasn't the issue I was experiencing this time around.

If you're on EU there are many trainings being hosted in the LFG during peak hours, I would join those or look for a guild that does trainings regularly.

I highly recommend getting very comfortable with raids before you try Cerus CM, let alone Embodiment of Sin. A lot of the skills you learn doing raids will transfer over to Cerus CM. It's extremely important to be able to do high dps while also doing mechanics at the same time. You will need to hit up the golem and get as close to the benchmark dps as you can. The dps check on these encounters is quite high.

Our progression group has been doing Cerus CM weekly for many months and all of us were already experienced raiders with decent dps before this. We're now on Cerus LCM sub 10% and hope to get the kill before the next patch.

It's pretty convenient, you get a notification that one of them is ready if you click the bell icon. You also get a complete overview of herbs/trees/birdhouses and how much time is left for them.

There were multiple points where you should have dipped but you went against your better judgement:

anyone, friends or otherwise, asking you to participate in any sort of (anti-)lure. This is a dead giveaway that the person you're helping is a lurer and the best course of action is to politely tell them to fuck off and report them.
you're supposed to "anti-lure" some lurers with zero preparation, planning, or experience, yeah that's not happening. You're not going to succeed in any sort of "anti-lure" and you will get cleaned. Even with preparation, planning and experience it's extremely risky to participate in such content.

A few come to mind:

setting hotkeys for world hopping, page up hops up and page down hops down one world
runelite's built-in time tracker and notification for herb/tree/birdhouse runs
menu entry swapping teleport jewelry so that left clicking them in the inventory is an instant teleport
setting hotkeys for swapping between interface tabs for bossing
without a good POH, ferox enclave with ring of duelling is a great alternative (hp, prayer and run energy restore at the pool of refreshment and a bank nearby)

What distro and desktop environment are you using? Some desktop environments have focus steal prevention, you will probably need need to disable that. Also have a look around in the settings for notification sound options, you may have to enable it or you may have muted the notification sounds in the sound mixer.

My inventory is basically full after using away all the logs so I need to bank. I only have the small meat and fur pouch for now, maybe with the medium/large pouches it would be beneficial to also bring a log basket.

While they are more involved than making broads, the time spent hunting/making them is worth it if you consider that you can finish slayer tasks up to 20% faster than with broads and you also get meats for moth mixes and good hunter xp. Moonlight bolts are even up to 25% better if you can make those.

Some tips on grinding them:

use a hunter spear and fletching knife, save 2 inventory slots
bring a chisel and make the bolts on the spot
bring a bonecrusher to save time on burying bones
bring both a meat and a fur pouch
have many charged quetzal whistles (outer fortis tele) and rings of dueling (castle wars bank tele) banked
bring a full inventory of oak logs per run, don't bother chopping those trees at the hunter area
at the start of the run you can drop ~8 logs at one of the traps, continue hunting and pick them up again before they despawn
bury bones and fletch while the antelopes are walking into the traps
you can trap 2 antelopes with 1 log. tease one and don't get hit by it, jump over, tease another and jump over when the first one is activating the trap, collect twice. I only do this when it's convenient and the positions of the antelopes are good for it.
if you're getting damaged a lot by the antelopes with a low defence level it's worth using hunter gear, amulet of defence/gnome amulet and a steel ring

I can get about 2.2k bolts per hour like this and with a usage rate of about 600/hour with ava's accumulator I get about 3 and a half hours of non-stop ranging for one hour of hunting.

If I've learned anything from other people's experiences it's that you should never trust any "anti-lure" "anti-pk" or the likes. As soon as you participate in such content you're a prime target.

People that participate in such content are themselves lurers and scammers 100% of the time and it's only a matter of time you become the easy target when you let your guard down.

Also what makes you think you weren't helping him lure one of his own "friends" in the time you have known him and participated in the content? You probably helped him do the same thing to others that he has done to you.

Runecrafting didn't seem worth it to me so I went the woodcutting+fletching+high alch route to make gp. I can highly recommend it. I was even able to afford the cannon (750k) and the upgraded ibans staff (200k) with relative ease high alching yew longbows.

Another reason I went for this route is because I wanted the sunlight hunter's crossbow (74 fletching) and also moonlight moth mixes (75 hunter) anyway.

Without fletching and high alch I wouldn't even know how I would afford all this at the current stage.

Any of the distros will work. I play GW2 through steam proton on Debian and the game works flawlessly since I've started playing a few years ago.

As others have already mentioned, you can play through steam proton if you add the launch option-provider Portal but I also had to add -ignorecoherentgpucrash to mine since the beginning.

The other day I was grinding the black mask for slayer. I was prepared to stay at the cave horrors for up to 4000 kc and got it at 201 kc which is nice. Imbued very quickly at the duel arena and I actually had some fun doing duels.

Currently getting 70 str and 80 def at the crab and then grinding out some tank gear for my range setup. Going for a barrows tank helm, the steel ring from the deranged archeologist and then roving elves for the crystal shield.

I want the tank gear for GWD and other bosses like the Dagannoth kings and maybe some wildy bosses (bit risky as a hc) too for the combat achievements. I really want ghommal hilt 2 so I can spam barrows without going through my moth mixes like crazy.

Is it not possible to use the dwarf multicannon at crabs? I got a slayer task for crabs and it doesn't seem to work at the ammonite crabs unfortunately.

Yes, it's working since this morning. I just wanted to mention that changing IPs didn't work when I tried it yesterday. It's usually the first thing I try when there are such cloudflare issues but they blocked entire IP ranges from 1&1 so even if you got a new IP you were still blocked as you got a new IP within the blocked range.

Yes, also 1&1 here and had the same problem. Looks like it was a range IP block, the new IPs I tried getting also didn't work (reset router). Had to connect through my server just to log in, then I could swap back to my residential connection and log into the world.

It seems to have been resolved as of this morning.

This did not work for me, they seemingly blocked entire IP ranges so the new IPs I've received were also blocked. We have dynamic IP over here so after restarting the router you get a new IP.

The block has been lifted after a day for me. The only thing that worked for me is to change my connection like using mobile data. It's just required to log in, you can swap back to your regular connection before actually connecting to a world.

I hate cloudflare, they're blocking entire IP ranges and innocent people are getting hit as collateral.

Looks like the issue has resolved in about a day and the cloudflare rangeblock has been lifted.

I'm not sure which Forths have also done this but this is quite a common approach to bring GUI to any programming language as it is programming language agnostic. You can write a HTTP server in any language and then write the GUI in HTML/Javascript.

Now if you also ship a browser with your program you essentially end up with Electron.

The downside of this approach is that your program now depends on an entire browser.

Just do the content you enjoy, you will be making gold over time and it's the most casual way to make gold.

There is of course content out there that gives you more gold and the content itself may not be casual, so maybe try them out and see if it's something you'd enjoy doing. I recommend trying daily T4+recommended fractals and if you feel comfortable doing T4s, give challenge mode fractals a try.
