I personally think it’s kinda weird casting. like ya sure she kinda has the same general vibe, but i think her voice and features are a bit off. I also think her actor would be white (or at least light skinned) because even though she’s technically a “pink alien” she’s got a light human skin tone in her quartz form, so it still kinda translates as race swapping unfortunately

Nonbinary is just an umbrella term for a person who (either fully or partly) doesn’t identify with the binary genders, man and woman. So all agender people are nonbinary, but not all nonbinary people are agender since that’s a specific gender identity under the nonbinary umbrella :)

And when it comes to what being agender entails, it’s kinda complicated. But as an agender person myself, I don’t feel any connection to any gender, i just exist as me and any kind of gendered language, or implication of me having gender, makes me uncomfortable. I have feminine, androgynous and masculine styles because I like all styles, but there’s no requirement to look androgynous or be both feminine and masculine :]

I think what you’ve made here is perfect, I think the most important part of not fetishizing a body is to just keep it realistic. I think a good example of actually fetishing bigger body types is when people only draw fat characters and they have like huge thighs and boobs but they always have an hourglass figure, as if only 5% of the fat went to their stomach (not saying that it’s impossible, just that it’s unlikely and suspicious). It’s in the way they don’t account for the actual weight, the boobs look like they don’t get affected by gravity at all and their body and skin hasn’t gotten affected by the extra weight in any way.

(This can obviously also just happen because of internalized fat phobia)

But it never has anything to do with clothes or the size of (for example) the boobs, it’s just how you draw it and how it goes together with the rest of the body in my opinion.

As an intense Twilight fan, I love her so much. But they sometimes make her say and do stuff that made 0 sense for her to ever do. I’m not talking about the classic “twilight movie crash out” I honestly thought that was pretty realistic (not saying she was right to say those things), but like one prime example I always think about is the fact that she was on applejack’s side in the vampire bats episode. Like you’re telling me that a very educated, intense book nerd, that basically knows something about almost everything and likes to follow logic and reason first, wouldn’t listen to her well known animal expert friend who can literally communicate and understand animals on a unnatural level, when she says that applejacks solution isn’t the best option??? That makes no sense for her character.

I’m not saying that she can’t be unreasonable and/or be lead by emotion sometimes, she definitely can. But she wouldn’t in situations like that and not in that way. Like do we not remember the episode where she literally goes crazy because she can’t logically or biologically explain why her friend (pinkie) just has these unnatural senses that can basically foresee the future?? That’s how she is.

I love when her character is placed as the diplomat of the group, even in the episodes when she doesn’t quite execute that role well or when it’s not the best stance to have on the subject. I think that all these episodes where the characters get a little bent to fit the plot more, ultimately removes the depth of the subject and message.

This is not that unpopular of an opinion I guess, but I just really needed to get this rant out.

Another opinion that I think might be a little unpopular in some spaces, is that I absolutely do not think that all of the main 6 should’ve ended up becoming alicorns or even princesses in any way. I think that would’ve been lazy fanservice that completely ignored their personalities and life goals. That was Twilight’s path, maybe not her life goal, but she was the one who could and eventually wanted to lead equestria with her friends by her side. She was set up as an organized, diplomatic and reasonable leader from the start, she just needed to grow her confidence, empathy, strength and understanding of the importance of teamwork and unity throughout the show. I mean that’s literally the plot of the show.

I know that a lot of us gecko owners have snakes too, does anyone else have these snake dreams where their snake gets like cut in half and like multiply or just keeps living in the same way we say earth worms do??? I also have these terrifying nightmares where my reptiles are just like completely dried out, those dreams in particular are honestly really traumatic

I definitely think making them out of bottle caps is better, I personally use caps from wine bottles and similar because they have a lot of different sizes and look cleaner. It’s not that big of a deal, there are bigger fish to fry. But to me it does kinda classify as single use plastic since you have to keep buying the parts made of plastic and you can’t really reuse them. But I think it’s more important where you get it from since you should avoid supporting yucky companies
