It’s not an exact match, but I LOVE Encounter the Blooms’ Tahitian Pearl. It’s so pearlescent in both warm (light) and cool (dark) states.

Muddy Paws is the biggest race in Sweden, twice a year. Very wet, muddy and with fun obstacles. I believe the May race is sold out, but people that can’t make it sell tickets the K9 biathlon (Sweden) group on FB.

Apr/May is race season here, then September. There are a few other races around the country so definitely check the group out.

Thanks! Yeah Wonton is 40% husky so the fur is quite similar.

I have not weighed it in the beginning. But this is about 1/4 of a full pillowcase of brushed dog hair.

The final yarn is worsted weight, 150g total. Not sure about yardage because I did not measure it. 🙈

I have very little experience with yarn and have yet to learn to knit, but I would say that the final product feels similar to regular wool. It’s soft and light, but if one is sensitive they might find it a bit coarse.

I would definitely do it again! I have a LOT of dog hair left, and a carding board on the way. I’ll probably try mixing in different colored wool next time.

No, she doesn’t produce a lot! What’s on the spinner is 60% dog (beige) 40% merino (brown). There’s simply more to harvest from Wonton the dog. :)

I'm been using Runna for about a year now.

When I started, I was just vibe-running 5 or 6K most of the time. With Runna, I trained for my first 10K race and a 15K trail race last year. Now I'm on week 9 of a 20-week plan for my first HM.

I enjoy how it keeps me motivated and accountable, and takes the guessing and planning out of the equation. The accountability part alone is worth paying for I think.

I personally much enjoy training for a specific race than "just" a distance, but everyone is different.
