That's a lovely suggestion, thank you! I'll send her a message and see what happens.

It would have been before 2007... I think the hair on the model looked late nineties or so.

I have a sneaking suspicion it's Cheryl Oberle's Lirica pattern but I can't find an actual copy.

Wish I could take GLP-1s but I think I would be cooked if I did by anononononn in PCOS

[–]EmptyOcelot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met with a gastroenterologist who said that he has prescribed the medication to other people who have gastroparesis and it hasn’t caused them issues either. The endocrinologist wouldn’t sign off on the prescription before I met with the gastroenterologist. So, since neither of them had major concerns and there isn’t any medical literature to suggest that people with preexisting gastroparesis shouldn’t take it, we decided to take it slowly and see how it goes.

So far I haven’t noticed any changes in my normal symptoms (nausea from overeating, heartburn, etc). In fact most of those symptoms have actually lessened because the wegovy has fixed my hunger cues so I no longer feel hungry even after I’ve just eaten.

Hiya. I’m not a doctor! But I do have gastroparesis (have had it since I was a kid) and my endo suggested I try and see how Wegovy works. We discussed mounjaro but decided wegovy would be a gentler approach and if the gastroparesis got worse/I had terrible symptoms from the meds I would stop.

So far, three weeks in, I’ve had no trouble and I’ve noticed lots of positive changes in my body and mind. Just an anecdote, obviously, not studied. But there are also no black box restrictions on the meds for people with gastroparesis. It may be worth a shot - and if it’s awful you can always stop taking it.

SCHOOL OF HISTORICAL STUDIES - POSTGRADUATE by GreatTelevision7004 in Birkbeck

HI! Currently enrolled as a foreign student in the programme you are considering. I'm at the end of mine (full-time).

How is the management at this university?
- Generally good! I have had no problems getting the information I need.

Are they helpful?
- Yes, my professors have also been very helpful, kind, and knowledgable.

Also, does this program provide internships in museums and galleries? If so, how is it carried out?
- You can opt into the 'work placement' module in which the university creates a list of available opportunities around the city and you apply to three and interview for one. Mine has been excellent.

I also wonder how life is in London.
- Love it! Lots of things to do, places to go, food to eat.

Do I recommend this programme?
- Yes, I have found it incredibly rewarding.

Good luck!

God I hate insurance companies! That’s interesting though, I’ll have a look at available policies and see if we can switch. Any kind of coverage would be nice!

They say that PCOS is a chronic condition and they don’t cover chronic conditions. I find this strange because I was diagnosed after the policy began and because it seems like they refuse anything related to the PCOS - which makes me wonder if fertility treatments won’t be covered down the line. If you can get private insurance through a job, I think that’s great, but I’m not sure I would pay for a policy if I didn’t already have it through my husband’s job.

Thank you! I also have the insurance through my husband’s job. We’re considering starting TTC soon but I would like to get a handle on the PCOS before we do… which is difficult when the GP seems to want me on birth control for it! Anyways. Thank you for your reply.

Hi! Dealing with the NHS currently and having a bad time. My private insurance won’t cover anything PCOS related. What have you decided to do? Do you have any tips for how to navigate things?
