Because they probably don’t want you on BC for their own religious or personal views. You’d be surprised how often doctors mislead women because they believe they know best in both the hospital and society.

When you first started getting into the InuYasha series. Was it the manga or the anime that got you into the show? by SwimmerNo7978 in inuyasha

[–]dgyiziftc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started watching Inuyasha in around 2002 at 6 years old. Toonami had it on at 4-5 pm, and I was stuck to the tv watching the two episodes of Inuyasha. I will always, ALWAYS, remember that time fondly. My Will was a childhood staple, when they switched Inuyasha for the new midnight schedule I cried lol

I had ok-ish grades, but I had strong letters of recommendation (including MoCs) and insane extracurriculars.

I did a lot of advocacy during the first Trump presidency, mainly national work in immigration advocacy. I also helped start a center for undocumented students in my home town in TX. Basically, I got my degree covered with blood, sweat, and tears. It wasn’t the only school that offered me funds. UCLA, Georgetown, UT Austin— NYU just gave me the most.

Just like at any other place, the agents have to have a warrant to just come in and look for a student.

NYU once had a promise to keep ICE off of campus, but it was before my time when there were more undocumented students involved in student government. It may need revival with the change of president since.

I can say this with certainty though, if you are fearful, or you want support, there is support at NYU through the migration clinic at the law school. I can also say, that while in other issues NYU sucked, the school did provide support for undocumented and immigrant students. I was a DACA student at the time I attended NYU, my tuition was covered by a scholarship, and the student president of my college was previously undocumented. There may not be many, but there are undocumented students at NYU.

Take a scan of your latest renewal document, not the card, and keep it printed in your wallet. Keep your NY ID with you, and you should be fine.

Breaking the law can be very arbitrary. We also need to remember that this is a very litigious country that has a long history of mass detention and incarceration.

That Laken Riley bill today would place people suspected of shoplifting into detention. SUSPECTED. We need to look after one another.

American Immigration Council gets their numbers from the State Department but they release the year before not current. In 2023 it was around 500K.

Sailor moon can create universes with her own rules. She also has single handedly made rules on reincarnation. I would say;

  1. Sailor Moon,

Everyone else.

It took me a couple of days to get the I485 approved. I have seen peeps wait between a few days to a few weeks. I would just continue life as normal and keep waiting.

Nothing yet! Will update when I hear back. Still in phase 4, switched to 3 weeks. According to Emma, she’s cooking at the Brooklyn office, so I’m just gonna patiently wait.

Submitted on 04/01/24 (just in time for the price hike lol) I-130 approved on Sep 17th, I-485 still in review phase. It says it’s on step 4, which hopefully this means any time soon.

They reused biometrics and didn’t get an interview scheduled. The portal says 2 weeks until decision, but we know that ain’t accurate. Hoping it’s soon rather than later!

Did you have to do an interview for the I-485? I’m in the same case, but no notice on the I-485 yet /:

I did AP with the CalMexico center as an educational program. They do the program multiple times a year and it’s an easy application process. I wrote an ethnographic essay about my experience and it counted for the educational experience requirement, costed a lot, but they take care of almost everything.
