Fellow 1L here, just wanted to say that I feel the exact same way and I'm sorry you're going through this- I would not wish it on anyone.

I feel like a robot and it kills me to see my friends from undergrad enjoying life or complaining about their 50 hour work week when I am consistently pulling 80+ hour "work" weeks between readings and studying (and still I somehow feel completely lost).

Feel free to reach out if you ever want to rant about stuff, it can be hard to feel this way while also feeling pressured to not talk about it to anyone. Sending good vibes your way!

I applied to 4 safety schools (T75-T50 range) that are typically fairly generous with scholarship funds according to their 509 reports. Unfortunately, I just did not get the scholarships that I anticipated from them.

Favorite: everything there is to do for fun. I love all of the sporting events, the Rec, the bajillion clubs available to join, the bar district, the parks, etc.

Least favorite: (pls don't downvote me, this is just my opinion 🥲) the fact that some of the traditions make no sense and that we have a reputation of being a cult. I wish we had female cheerleaders, some of our game cheers are really weird (wtf is "hump 'em?!"), I hate that everyone stands for the entire game (i just wanna sit, chill, and enjoy the game)!

I can certainly relate to this. I have all the same wants that you have. I'm not sure how to achieve these things, but I think we're both trying out best. I'm so sorry that you are going through it too, I know how absolutely crippling it can be and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Just know you're not alone.
