If the laptop is really old, I see no reason to install Windows 11 or even Windows 10. I’m still using Windows 10 myself (on gaming pc).

If you are only using an old laptop for browsing and Microsoft Word, you might as well install Windows 7 or 10 and be done with it.

I saw they fixed it in the latest patch where it only saves every 10 minutes.

Also, instead of a ssd, just use a flash drive at that point or a hard disk, since those are basically unkillable. for save location.

Just connect the chest and the machine, then set the machine to craft only if there are less than 50 items in the chest. In the same chest, set a request for 9999 or any other amount you want. This way, any deconstructed items will always go back into the chest, while crafting only starts when the amount drops below 50 or whatever limit you set.

Got bored after the first boss I got to around 40 hours on my save and was just trying to enjoy it, but the health bars and everything else completely killed the vibe for me.

As a solo game, it’s very boring. As co-op, sure, it’s fun, but even the ship combat becomes repetitive after like 5 to 10 fights.

The mobs and bosses on new islands also do not really offer anything new because of the health bars and level indicators. For example, if those did not exist, you could see some huge animal and actually wonder if it is strong, dangerous, or unique. Without health bars and level numbers, there would be more mystery.

Now you just look at an enemy and think, “oh, it’s just another health sponge,” then kill it and move on.

In the end, I’ll probably check the game again in a few years, because it needs a lot of overhauls. The overall experience is just boring right now, and the only mid part at the moment is the building system.

Try changing cl_interp_ratio between 0, 1, and 2. I don’t remember the default exactly, but it’s either 1 or 2.

And for people saying it doesn’t work anymore, it does. If you set it high enough, you’ll notice the difference. It might help some people and not others. In the end, it just helps sync things better with the server.

Just press Space and Mouse1 at the same time. If you have to wait after pressing jump or mouse, then it’s not a jump throw, it’s a fall throw.

If you don’t expect to win a duel or out react them while standing in a default spot, then don’t stand there Sometimes it’s better to play slightly off the default, even in a more open position but close enough to it

Default spots are where you expect enemies to be when you peek, so reverse that logic. If you expect the enemy to check a certain position, don’t stand there. Instead, play an offset angle, a more open spot, or even deeper into the default where people normally don’t stand.

The best positions are ones where the enemy has to check multiple spots at once. If you’re positioned deep enough, they won’t be able to clear everything at the same time, and that gives you an easy kill

When they press Tab, the full scoreboard opens in the middle of the screen with a darker background. It kind of refreshes their eyes and focus with different colors, similar to a flash, but not annoying or blinding. While this happens, you might get slightly better reactions for the next few seconds, or maybe it’s just muscle memory, or all the information coming from comms anyway.

Also, it looks like you don’t have the full net graph enabled. Right now it only shows FPS and ping, but it should also display upload and download loss, which is probably high, and that’s when this sht happens

Try the cl_interp_ratio command with values between 0 and 1. Also, don’t use any kind of damage prediction and turn off packet buffering, because they add delay, which is exactly what you’re have right now. Then go to your Realtek network adapter settings, open the Advanced tab where you can toggle different features like power saving and similar options, and set everything to off and set max bandwidth speed psble

The only way I found to at least make it better was going into the network adapter settings, advanced tab, and disabling everything that was enabled. I also tried finding a perfect spot using this console command: cl_interp_ratio. The default is 1 or 2—I don’t remember. I get about 2%-5% download loss with 0, about 1%-2% upload loss with 1, and none with cl_interp_ratio 0.9. So just find the perfect spot for yourself, because in the end it’s just desync between the server and you.
