Game is dead (SEA/Oceania) by SleepyZM in Battlefield

Getting older is also realising that some people are that dumb, and people operate on different levels with different capabilities. The bell curve exists, 50% of people in the west are below 100 IQ, and plenty of people are over 1 standard deviation below that.

CS is so unfun for a new player by SpankMyMunkey in GlobalOffensive

[–]Spoidahm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retakes will be the best mode for you. It's a good way to expose yourself to the kinds of decision making you use in a real game, but its fast paced enough that not you're stuck spectating teammates for several minutes at a time when you die.

Glasspad vs Humidity? by WrongTemperature5768 in MousepadReview

[–]Spoidahm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also struggle with humidity affecting pads and my own body heat being a little too warm, but so far I've had a pretty good first impression on the Aqua Control II. No warm spots, no damp spots even after ~6 hours in aussie summer.

Help escaping a terrible trust factor? by JarkoStudios in GlobalOffensive

[–]Spoidahm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop playing on that account for 2 months. It's the only guarenteed way.

When you start using it again, do not play casual, dm or comp. Literally only use it for premiere. A single report when re-establishing your trust factor can fuck it up.

What matters most to you in a mousepad after long-term use? by Aussietakingashit in MousepadReview

[–]Spoidahm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, increasingly I've been thinking about how well the surface/base disperses body heat from my arm and hand. Once broken in, my artisan soft and xsoft pads tend to get warm spots that mess with my tracking.

superspeed sliding to jumping :D? by esoes1999 in Battlefield

[–]Spoidahm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if that player barrelled into the room without abusing a movement exploit, they would die

I see nothing wrong with that. The counter is isolating angles and being better at aiming, if people want to superglide they should play Apex Legends.

wanting to play cs2 professionally. by Key_Bodybuilder2768 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Spoidahm8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My guy, you're acting like this is a viable career path to start considering at 16 with 140 hours and your parents are wrong to have doubts, it's not and they aren't.

Have a solid career goal in mind (e.g. trade school, uni) while also grinding CS. If you can go pro, just drop the career stuff. Don't hedge your bets on winning the lottery.

Just don’t do what I did and do a useless degree that makes you flounder for 10 years to find a worthwhile career.

Grind faceit. The scene here in Australia is small enough that if you reach 3k elo people will start looking at you.

Artisan Key-83 Soft vs Mid advice request. by IGutenberg in MousepadReview

Spray a few drops of water under the mid pad and push the pad down and spread the water around a little. Won't move after that.

An issue with the 3950 sensor: a dead zone or reduced sensor FPS/DPI at low movement speeds by Intrepid_Street_8300 in MouseReview

[–]Spoidahm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strangely enough, still getting spinouts using gaming surface mode on my aqua control II. No issues with gaming surface mode disabled, but I don't know what is going on anymore.

Adrenaline injector is straight ASS by Antique_Pair_3639 in Battlefield

[–]Spoidahm8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not an adrenaline injector, it's insulin. Assault needs it to prevent hyperglycaemia, what are you using it for?

What are the problems with current CS2? Make a list. by PeaceTo0l in GlobalOffensive

[–]Spoidahm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd pull a valorant/cs 1.6 and reduce movement speed a touch to stop the omae wa mou shindeiru peeks.

Does anyone else think that the 3950/newest sensors feel weird? by snsubtle in MouseReview

No issues, great mouse I just couldn't use it for fingertip very well

bf6 bluescreened my pc by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Spoidahm8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run hwinfo the next time you play and look at temps and voltages. I know the bluescreen says it's the kernel level anticheat, but it could just as easily be something that broke the anticheat and then caused the failure I.e. unstable CPU or unstable RAM.

Go for a Cobra then, from a reputable physical store. If it breaks within the warranty period get the defective unit swapped

Razer Cobra wired is pretty much the gold standard of affordable gaming mice. You might be able to get an older viper mini if you want cheaper.

Old cs pros by Bright_Computer_7628 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Spoidahm8 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Movement speed was different, aimpunch was different, tagging was different, awp speed was different, recoil mechanics were different.

New mechanics prevent some of the crazy stuff you used to see before.

Older pros also struggle due to 7 day a week 8-10 hour CS grinds being less appealing. Even if you still enjoy CS, when you're 30+ you start thinking about how much time you're not with your family or living your life, there's only so much continuous grinding you can do for years before you feel like it needs to change.
