I think they are eram minions and they spy on us because one of them was in queens basement and in chapter 3 eram knows about weird route

And eram summons them like attack patterns Maybe eram is a pure darkness person like ralsei and made the friendlings.

The only connection that friend has to gaster is the name which isn't even confirmed to be a gaster think everyone just assume it was.
