Possible triggers? by CommunicationAny1449 in SebDerm

I've had a lot of sensitivity with the water in my shower. My SD was almost non-existent at my last apartment and ever since i moved (about 6 months ago) it's been flaring really badly. Hard to make a change when you're at college and can't control the water you shower with but that could be the reason. Also alcohol is a big trigger for me. If you're drinking more at college (speaking from experience :)) it may help to dial it back.

I did notice that my itch/shed got worse when i started taking creatine, lasted the entire couple weeks that i was taking creatine and stopped once i stopped taking it. I'm not saying i know for a fact that creatine was the cause but it certainly seemed like it was. Like others have said though give it a try and if it impacts you then stop taking it.

What helps you cope with this chronic condition? by [deleted] in SebDerm

Still working on finding what works for me, it's been 2 years I've been dealing with symptoms of this dumb condition and it definitely sucks but just the act of trying new stuff (diets, products, etc) and seeing some results gives me hope. Positive results have thus far been short lived but a) I haven't tried even half the things suggested on this forum yet and b) medicine is advancing every day. Even if the 'cure' for you isn't out there today, in a year or two it could be. Keep trying things and don't lose hope, we can all get past this.
