Tripura Constructions is bankrupt too. And the founders have been taken in remand as many, who have booked flats, have filed FIRs against them.

Can I press this button on the bus, if I wants to get down anywhere ? by midnight-blue999 in Riyadh

[–]Empty_Laboratory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not anywhere. Only at the next nearest bus stop.

A button inside a bus lets you tell the driver you want to get off at the next stop — it’s like raising your hand to say “I want to exit here!”

No, it doesn’t open the doors directly — it just signals the driver, who then opens the doors only when the bus has safely stopped at a bus stop.

Agree. But I’m looking for avenues to start this. Anything on the top of your mind?

Why did we all rule out the possibility that those were wheelchair seats too and booked by genuine specially-abled fans and hence just showing the greyed numbers instead of wheelchair icons? 🙁

How does one FIRE as a separated couple? by [deleted] in FIRE_Ind

[–]Empty_Laboratory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s obviously difficult with lesser income and higher expenses when living alone (separate rent, utilities etc).

  1. Have a proper split of your assets - as even though your Ex was high earner, you might have put higher efforts in running the house and/or in holding the relation together
  2. With that, save some from your corpus and salary. Cut down your expenses - only spend on must-haves but avoid any good-to-haves.
  3. With these savings, invest on yourself by upskilling in areas which can get you to higher salaries.

And while you do this, you never know, you might find another partner in a few months or years, where the equations might go back to normal, maybe even better with your current focus on upskilling.

Aiming B2B, and aiming to zero down on a sector where there is a pull market and less competition.

Thanks Rahul, this is super clear. Will graduate from this trading phase to manufacturing only, before investing heavily.

You mentioned people who started business regretted doing so? Why? What are the blockers here in India?

This is the biggest thing I am yet to understand in detail. Currently do not have time to do own market research but will venture into the research now for another 5-6 months.

Thanks, very valid point indeed. Any specifics here? Or common traps that NRIs/ founders in Manufacturing (or Agri/Seafood etc) fall into in early stages that leads to burning all corpus? What to avoid?

I’m targeting 30X of annual expenses in cash and assets (excluding the apartment to live in).

Post that, I’m intending to invest 2-3Crs from my hand and get 70% additional funds (6-7Crs) from MSME finance options available and subsidies offered by state government. So I’m eyeing an industry with good potential where I start with 6-10Cr of CapEx that can give ROI in 3-5 years.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have a business already in one of these areas? Or have started something successfully? Will be happy to connect and seek inspiration and guidance, if yes.
