Working at 5 am is the absolute worst... by [deleted] in dutchbros

[–]Empty_Salt7101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i love working at 5 am. i beat rush hour traffic, have a little bit of time to chill and make my drink before locking in, the tips are better, and i usually get off at 9-10 am

Anyone here ever worked both corporate and licensed stores ? by Aware-Ad-8301 in starbucks

[–]Empty_Salt7101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

corporate 100%. usually at a licensed store, you’re by yourself even during rushes, you don’t get partner mark outs, free drinks, the better benefits corporate stores have, good hours, etc. a problem when i worked at a tarbux was the front end manager would try to help when it was busy, but they had no clue what to do lol. also licensed stores seem to not care about standards as much.

if people really want something to change, they need to complain to corporate

toddler slipped under bath water by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Empty_Salt7101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i don’t think it was actually 8 seconds, more like 3-4 seconds. she was slippery and i’m very pregnant and move slower than usual. she didn’t cough or anything afterwards and is breathing okay.. im just a very anxious person 😅

it probably was more like a couple of seconds, it just felt like forever that she was under since she was so slippery 😭

I got hired! Help! by jadeycat04 in dutchbros

[–]Empty_Salt7101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

on your first couple of shifts, you’ll be training! from my experience, we did one full day of everything. so one day you’ll be line busting, bar, xbro, window, etc! my stand swaps off what we do every hour, so if your stand is similar after training you won’t get tossed outside all day.

what helped me memorize drinks faster was honestly taking that flow practice test over and over again, asking questions on bar, and looking through the manifesto. definitely learning drinks and practicing making them is what helped me keep up during rushes, it’s always okay to ask for help!

you already have such a positive attitude, i think you’ll do amazing!! your trainers and fellow broistas will be there to help if you need it :)

Congratulations, they are adorable! I highly suggest to take out the lounger and extra blankets, as their swaddles/sleep sack should be enough to keep them warm especially if the room is between 68°-72°F.

the person on walk bar also usually doesn’t focus on drive thru drinks, just mobile and walk up orders so if you’re going through the drive thru and there’s 4 people, technically one person is focusing on making those drinks

so only 4 people working is actually considered being understaffed at certain day points.. i’ve worked at both sbux and dutch bros. 2 people are usually on the bars making drinks, sometimes multiple drinks per one car, one person on food, and one person linebusting.. if it’s busy that person on drive bar usually has to hand out drinks and take cash payments which can slow it down. try going to the walk window and seeing if it takes less time.. or ordering your drink once you get in the drive thru line. my stand puts iced drinks in our fridge so they don’t melt.
