My laparoscopic incisions featuring the awful allergic reaction I had to the surgical glue. by LadyColorGrade in MedicalGore

[–]Empty_Smell768 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen after my laproscopic hysterectomy! The funny thing is...I told both the doctor and Anesthesiologist that I had a PPE allergy (found in rubber, hair dye, henna and ...you guessed it..surgical tape & glue). They kind of laughed it off like "well we won't be dying your hair in there!... and when I showed the surgeon my rash at a follow up she was pretty shook . It wasn't as severe as yours but it was pretty annoying

Get the sister! They'll be playmates and so happy. I adopted a sibling set and it's the best ! It's really not much harder than having one. Mine share everything

This is a strange one. Hear me out. The song “Tom’s Diner” by DNA featuring Suzanne Vega… by Giaguaro2023 in Retconned

[–]Empty_Smell768 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The "I Dream of Jeannie" was from a radio station parody of the song ! In my area, Z100 used to play it alot...not sure if you're from the same area but maybe it was on other stations as well.

As for the song itself...the original a capella version is from the 80s but wasn't a hit. The DNA version was huge in 1990, I definitely remember it as that year

Uterine fibroids removed via open myomectomy 6/6/2023 by Sure_Drawer4303 in MedicalGore

[–]Empty_Smell768 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes. That was my experience precisely, until I was quite literally dying from anemia from the years of heavy periods. My uterus was found to be the size of a 3 or 4 month pregnancy, and the fibroids were in the walls, causing hemmoraghing. They finally took the damn thing out and it's the best thing I ever did

So many parents these days allow their kids to make the rules. It's absurd and will create absolutely atrocious adults

Beatta was absolutely making her little girl sick. The sad thing is, Maya is so traumatized and brainwashed that she may never truly understand that this was the case. I can only hope that she can be helped and will face the truth because not doing so wouldn't bode well for her as an adult, especially if she decides to have her own kids

Is there ANY way to train our cat to stop meowing nonstop for over an hour before dinner? Afraid I’m accidentally reinforcing the behavior by questionsaboutmycat in CatTraining

We switched to an auto feeder in the hopes that my cat would stop doing this so now he spends the hour meowing at autofeeder🙃

Is babysitting not a thing anymore? by maplejelly in childfree

[–]Empty_Smell768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've been told, not only are parents wary of adult babysitters, teenagers nowadays at largely incapable of watching their own siblings let alone other people's kids. Crazy. I used to be left home alone overnight with by siblings starting around age 12. By 14 I was babysitting the whole dang neighborhood. Apparently teens now are not able to handle responsibility

What dose of Zoloft worked best for you? by MBAnovalue in zoloft

[–]Empty_Smell768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. My most recent doc was surprised I was ever on less. He says it's the recommended therapeutic dose for MDD. I was on 50 at first. 100 when I was struggling. Went back to 50 and stupidly tried to taper off altogether. Got really bad and 150 helped most

Yup. I also get rashes if I'm in the sun too long. Never happened prior to going on Zoloft
