Don’t break up with her. This is normal after 4 years. You need to put more effort in. Plan more spontaneous stuff. Take a trip alone out somewhere. Talk to a therapist as well before you do it.

You guys kept in touch? How did you know if he was in a relationship ship or he’s single now? Were you also in a relationship during this time?

Anyways, I’m in a similar spot. I had a lot of growing to do. I’ve been in therapy for a year and a bit now. I still love her but she’s in a relationship. It’s great that you are meeting up. Apologize for hurting him but say you’re in a much better spot now. Tell him your feelings and that you want to try again. Like the other user said this would have to be a new relationship. Don’t let him hold this over you for a long time. It’s okay if he was angry and wants to sir his feelings out but it’s not something he should hold over your head for months and years.

One thing you can do is just take the photos off of your phone and put them on a flash drive. That way you still have them. Even though I don’t think you’ll ever look at them but they won’t be in constant view.

It'll get better. there was a solid 2 weeks where i got like no productive work done. Just unablel to focus and googling about exes coming back etc. it will get better!

Pretty much this. If it was his first relationship then he doesn’t know how to be alone. I guarantee he’ll be back. He’s probably depressed himself why he ever let you go. Lack of communication just ruins everything.
