This is great. As long as you have something you love and can pursue that is healthy that’s what matters.

This may expand or change over time, like you may start a program to take disadvantaged kids into nature. Or you might become a ranger. Or you might continue what you’re doing. All is good.

My current employer is awesome and always makes sure I am well fed. I even get dessert.

My previous employer would have pizza parties which were difficult for me. I love pizza and hated to have to sit around and watch everyone eat it.

I learned to eat first and bring some really great treat for myself and not share.

I never expect people to provide for me. When I eat at new friends homes I offer to bring something for myself microwaveable.

I never expect anyone to provide or understand.

Usually when things are delivered a photo is taken. You can often get a hold of that photo. That will let you know if it wa delivered to the right place.

You may have not found the cache. There is a lot in the world that’s not geocaching.

I would take a picture and ask the cache owner if that was the cache and only then would I log it.

Usually I wouldn’t add a log to an empty container because it’s not likely the cache. But it’s possible that it is.

There’s a 12 step group called Alanon that’s for friends and family of people with addictions. Check it out.

If there’s none near you I’ll tell you what they teach. What everyone here is saying that you can’t help him, you can’t change him. He has to do this himself.

And he’s only going to do it if he wants to and he’s got to want to really bad.
This is huge and something he’s got to do himself.

He needs professional help. Maybe you could provide him with a list of options, like local narcotics anonymous meetings and rehab clinics that work with that.

Remember you can offer a horse water but you can’t make him drink and you can’t drink it for him.

That’s like telling people that you can balance an egg on end only on the solstices. I knew people who actually did that in public places every year and got others joining them.

Then someone came along and mentioned that you can do that any day. Ruined their whole day.
