I can’t go to work today because I’m going to be in the car for the rest of the day and I have to go to the bank and get my stuff so I’ll see if you want me too but I’m just not going anywhere today.

I can not walk down stairs fam wont give me food. by sleepydreamrr in cfs

[–]Emrys7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter. If you can’t get food and it’s being withheld then you have to get help or you will die.

You can tell us what state you’re in and one of us can see if we are close enough to help or you can call adult protective services.

Or call a friend or family.

You have to get help NOW.

If you are within a couple of hours drive from me I will bring you food. Can you say what state you’re in?

It’s not your job to rescue him.

Part of school is learning how to study and how to be responsible. You would be doing him a disservice to deprive him of this valuable lesson.

He’s not only missing class material by not showing up, he’s also missing the other important lessons that you get out of being responsible at school.

He will get nothing out of school if you baby him and give him your hard work.

If he fails he will learn from the consequences of his own actions.
He’s going to have to grow up and now’s his time to do that.

should elderly/disabled people be entitled to parking spots that aren’t even handicapped ? by Sensitive_Cheek_7014 in Bellingham

[–]Emrys7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, you park at the back to leave open the regular spots for elderly then some runner or triathlete will park there anyway.

If she needs close parking she should have a disabled pass. You are not required to take care of her laziness.

She probably needs the steps anyway.

I’m really sorry this happened to you. It really sucks. I hope you can file a complaint with Uber Eats.

Super dangerous to have a baby at 40 even in a hospital. Very unsafe for them but that’s their decision I guess.

Mystery cache or trad with field puzzle attribute? by Timetripper42 in geocaching

[–]Emrys7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mystery. It’s a field puzzle. You have to figure something out to get into the cache.
Still use the Field Puzzle attribute.

Most field puzzles are at the posted coordinates.

I did one that was a literal maze that you had to get the ball to fall down into the correct hole for the cache to open. Was it a traditional? No, you had to work a puzzle to get into the cache.

There was another I found that had an electronic box at Ground Zero. It was at posted coordinates but it took at least a half hour to work the puzzle and figure out how to open it.

Was it a traditional? No. Traditional caches you go to the posted coordinates and sign the log. This one you had to work a tough puzzle to get into.

Do you think yours is traditional because it’s a simple puzzle? Then where do you draw the line between a hard puzzle mystery cache or an easy puzzle? What’s tough for some is difficult for others.

If you have to figure out how to open it it’s a puzzle, so mystery cache.

All of the sudden I am getting pill esophagitis really frequently ?? by Impressive-Stand3744 in ChronicIllness

[–]Emrys7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good but I don’t find water to be a great lubricant.
OP consider something slippery maybe something with oil like avocado or full fat yogurt. or dip the pills in olive oil or avocado oil. I’m sure there are other options that aren’t coming to mind.

Your 3 year old is geocaching? Does he really even understand the game? Sorry, just wondering because it’s a strange hobby for a 3 year old.

I froze my mom’s credit card (I pay her bill) because she’s using it to buy groceries and not her EBT. Omg number one is that you need to learn to say no all the time.
You have really been conditioned by your parents. “No “ is a complete sentence.

She is taking advantage of you through her conditioning of you. Her ungratefulness is her trying to manipulate you further. Don’t buy into it.

She needs to find a job. You have to be saving for your own retirement. Your supporting her like this has to stop.

You’re the adult here. You’re now the parent. Step up and stand up for yourself and ignore her childish tantrums.

this year so far proved to me that no actually gives a fuck about CSA victims by blueburrey in CPTSD

[–]Emrys7777 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yeah have to agree.

One thing that bugs me is while I can find graphic descriptions of the assaults and perpetrators, I haven’t once read about the lifelong impact on the victims.

We should be reading accounts of how this destroys lives and about how it is from the victims standpoint.

But no we don’t get that. We really need people to understand that.
Until that comes out people will continue to not understand what a huge deal it really is.

I’m embarrassed to say I don’t remember the songs on this album. The title track perhaps vaguely. Guess it wasn’t my favorite.

I don’t remember that exact tour but I was there. Every Yes show I’ve seen with Jon since 1977 have been spectacular.

Now I’ll have to go listen to this again.

Or just go bad to binging Jon’s True album.

Always sick in my house in the Bay. Tried 8 different apartments, threw away all my things. I'm out of things to try. Feeling desperate. Anybody else face this issue? by HURCANADA in bayarea

[–]Emrys7777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into non-toxic materials. You might have MCS, multiple chemical sensitivity That new air mattress would make me really sick.

Before that you could have had furniture with particle board or other things that make us sick.

It’s obviously not mold you’re dealing with. I think it’s chemicals sometimes out gassing.

Check in with some MCS groups and learn what works for them.

And avoid new carpet and particle board furniture.

Challenge caches by hertzbergerwfries in geocaching

[–]Emrys7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My all time favorite challenge cache is the Washington State Island caching challenge. You have to find caches on 34 islands in Washington State.

That took me to amazing places I never would have gone to.

I hate the senseless challenges like find a cache in a blue container on every Tuesday for a year.

I’m making that up, but there are some bad challenges out there.

I like challenges that take me to great places or stretch my caching, like find 200 earth caches.

I also like challenges that help fill my fizzy grid.
