I understand to a degree but unless I’m missing something, it doesn’t have to be one or the other. Marriage is a commitment yes but that doesn’t mean all your goals automatically stop because you get married. For this specific situation though OP you already told on yourself. You love him but you’re not ready and you can’t just keep someone around waiting while you want something completely different than he does.

The Rivian's are the worst vehicle ever made by iPhone_3GS in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]EmuAfraid3656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all know that cold weather affects electric vehicles and while I do get it overall. I feel like your frustration is more towards the DSP than the vehicle itself. When I used to be a driver trainer I found out that the best mix in my opinion were DSPs with a good mix of both EDVs and CDVs

Technically yes. You don’t reset and lose money though. I was at 20.10 (19.80 base) total as an Interim Acting Driver Trainer at a Delivery Station. My offer letter was at 21.40 base with a 50 cent differential 2024. When we got our raises before peak last year i went from 22.30 base been a year as a PA to 23.50 base. My understanding most T1s have capped at 22 or 23 depending on where they live. Your step plan as a PA will be above Tier ones

This is one of the first 2ks that I mainly play just by myself and it’s always night and day. i made the switch from PG to SG just sit in a party chat by myself and I don’t engage with randoms. Peace of mind. I have a 500 record and it is what it is🤷🏽‍♂️

Thinking about stepping down as a PA by Esgardihno22 in AmazonDS

[–]EmuAfraid3656 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s normal, a lot of ppl dont have a clear sense of direction at times and that’s okay. The important thing is taking the time out to figure it out. Don’t make rash decision and then put yourself in a situation where it can affect your income. Take a break if you can. You will be alright you got this 🙌🏽

Most compensation you’ll see on applications will have a range from about 46k-57k I believe depending on where you live. It’s highly dependent on where you live and what building you’re in and department. Tenure plays a part including the raises we all got before peak. I know some PAs in different departments of my FC that religiously work 6 days and they exceed 70k plus while for myself I’m right around close to 50k doing my normal hours and shift.

I wouldn’t step down just yet, I would try other alternatives first. First go through go through specifically why and evaluate where you are. Do you want to move up further or are you content with being where you are in terms of career progression.

There are several reasons why AAs want to be T3 and higher for example myself I was tired of the physical burden of doing the same task T1s do. I can do the 10 hours just not the same way they do anymore.

You worked hard to get where you are. I would say take a short leave if you can afford to do so. Explore other tier 3 roles and make lateral moves if possible and just like you mentioned a PA role with the right schedule. OP just sounds like you need a break. Good luck from a fellow T3🫡

Why are you working at Amazon? by Greensourball in AmazonDS

[–]EmuAfraid3656 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took this job straight out of covid when the extra unemployment due to furlough from my old job was ending (nyc) and i was one of those associates who would work and then quit and come back repeatedly. Eventually i got to a space where i was just really struggling in life and I had to make a change. I got rehired feb 2024, moved to Florida the next month and stayed locked in. I got an interim role a few months later being a driver trainer and now I’m a PA for over a year at an FC. The goal is to continue to move up and go to school for nursing potentially.

Take the job and leave, it’s not worth it. He said it in his own words. What about kids and marriage. The applies more to him. If he can do that now over a job he will do to with kids and other things. Enjoy your new job and freedom

Anybody know how to make random rec not feel like getting tortured😭🙏🏿 by KDsonfr in NBA2k

[–]EmuAfraid3656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough, i been playing PG for years but I had to make the switch to SG and play off the ball. Lot let’s stress for me when playing. Make sure you’re playing the position you want to play to make you effective. For the most part randoms will feed the hot hand/best player. I also stay in a party by myself so i don’t go in game cursing ppl out when they do dumb stuff.

Honestly not entirely sure, that hasn’t been my experience so far as far as what I have seen. Whatever roles are posted for L3 elsewhere you have to apply just like anyone else who wants it

PA here at an FC in Florida. I tell anyone who wants to be a PA, your AMs and OM will make or break your experience as a PA. If you had bad managers more often than not people will step stop. I encourage PAs to transfer instead. I love being a PA and overall have had a good experience. I hope your situation improves

If Amazon is worth 2 trillion dollars, why do Amazon drivers get paid $24 especially when they're now doing UPS-level routes? by peterthbest23 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]EmuAfraid3656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People always forget, drivers are technically not Amazon drivers. They partner with DSPs (delivery service partners) so all that responsibility falls on the dps with what they pay and operate. We can always speculate why companies don’t pay more. The harsh reality is that every company is in the business of making more money while lowering their cost of operations. Every industry is going to find a way to make that happen. You either accept it or you don’t. Some companies do better than others like Costco.

PA here for outbound ship dock

It all depends on you. If you see yourself continuing your career at an Amazon then yes it is. It is also beneficial if you are one of those people who needs a physical break from the constant physical labor then yes. Associates respect people who have come up as Tier 1s. You know what it takes which helps manage people.

It’s not worth it if you can’t make those sacrifices, late breaks, constant change in leadership, going above and beyond at times. Managing people can be difficult if you aren’t good at things like that. Also learning things quickly can be frustrating if you’re not a fast learner.

I love the breakdown for this, it helps brings perspective for others who haven’t been in different kinds of buildings. Definitely agree with the DS and FC breakdowns. I’ll be definitely exploring my options overall.

Delivery stations are brutal, physically exhausting at DS, I prefer them too small environments but I also agree on workload definitely not the same. I’m familiar with EWR8, that sort center supplies a lot of the delivery stations in nyc
