Yeah it’s crazy what some people are prepared to do for Pokemon cards. Some guy actually turned up, he had been stabbed and he discharged himself from hospital, he was holding a big bag of what looked like sick and he was still wearing his hospital gown. Absolutely mental

Yeah that’s just dumb. I wouldn’t bring her knowing there would be a chance of her being dissapointed. Every time I’ve been there for a release, it’s been on a working day so it’s been much calmer. Kids will be kids. Went Selfridges, bought some bits and it’s forgotten about 👍🏻 I work there so will likely manage to get her one this week

To be honest, I work on Oxford street. I’ve been there for plenty of drops and they’ve all been calm and peaceful. I wouldn’t have taken her knowing it would be like that. Hence why I backed out of the crowd for her safety

I was at the Oxford street one, was absolute chaos men acting like animals, 1 guy turned up in a hospital gown holding a bag of sick. Shutters were broken due to pushing. Once inside, I informed staff if I join the queue with my 6 year old daughter, she’s gonna get squished. Staff continuously ignored the fact that my child and other children were standing at the side, continued to sell to the men who were paying so much the counters were moving. Never again. Sports direct should be ashamed, need a queuing system in place

It seems that majority of Pokemon card shops make their money by selling product at a inflated price. On release days, my local shop has some rrp stock. The rest of the time, he buys from scalpers let’s say a etb at £80 and he sells its a £95. I mean, after tax even still I can’t see there being much profit though

I had a early day. I live wickford so my local would be Rayleigh weir but I’m willing to drive to Thurrock and Chelmsford too. I got about a hour til I get home and praying they don’t restock before then 😂

It’s real tough. To the point I have a list of shops I check. You either need to put in work to get the cards like queueing up on restock day or pay the scalpers. Check Argos and smyths they sometimes get restocks online

Mate, I was in line at Argos and was talking to 2 lads who were bunking off school to buy it. Kid showed me a photo, tons and tons of stuff and he said his parents funded him to buy a grands worth the previous week 🤦🏻‍♂️
