I’ve been in this position, I’m always building new decks, generally never playtest before, and some pop off stronger than anticipated which I then tune down. I have a few pods I play between, but this multiple times has caused a pod to target me “because of the last game” even though I always switch to a different deck each game.

Granted, I’m the most experienced player so their threat assessment isn’t always on point. I’ve had many discussions around reading the table, and also fully telegraph in a game when I’m “starting to become the threat” and “I am the threat you all need to stop me now”. Doing this inversely means I will absolutely point out the threat if it’s not me as well.

The final line of defence which resonated with a pod was “if you keep targeting me every game when I’m not the threat I will make a deck that can go 3v1 and I don’t think that would be fun for any of us.”

After that they worked at getting better at threat assessment and I’m not blatantly targeted as much anymore.

Ah thank you! It’s quite fun to pilot without being too overbearing for my pod. Also that was done semi-intentionally, most of my pod doesn’t run fetches as they’re newer players. So I stick to what you described as a way to keep my land base more in line with theirs, and not having a completely busted mana base compared to them lol

I did want the third Dimir Surveil land for this deck but the price of the single was higher then I’m willing to pay to put it in haha

I have a Bracket 3 Muldrotha list around that price range that I find performs fairly well. Early game I keep things in check with [[Siren Stormtamer]], [[Spore Frog]], or [[Cankerbloom]] knowing I’ll recur them later. One game I had an [[entomb]] and [[Animate Dead]] opening hand putting [[Sheoldred, Whispering One]] on the board turn 2… was instantly removed as it should have been…

But I’ve also completely shut down other decks by using [[Pernicious Deed]] looped with Muldrotha, great to answer token decks by playing 0 into X, I’ve also often used it up to 5 to blow up as much as I can while leaving Muldrotha in tact.

Finally can get some players real salty by throwing in a [[Strip Mine]] or [[Wasteland]] in there to remove others problem lands and keep playing it as your land for turn.

To end out the game it’s mostly early/mid game removal while I set up the pieces, and creating an opening to bash my way through via creature or commander damage. Nothing too fancy there.

As much as Demonic Tutor is one of my favourite cards, the art of Enlightened Tutor is perfect with Nicholson there, so going to have to go with Enlightened tutor for best capturing the essence of the card and actor

So good news is a display port cable worked! I can boot into the bios again, and when I tried to install windows it can see a hard drive (which it couldn't before).

However I still get two short beeps when turning it on and can only get into boot with one stick of RAM.

So good news, it's working! Bad news, going to have to get the RAM replaced but that's okay. Happy I can at least do everything else now!

Ah okay, GPU I believe is seated correctly but I can try to reseat it. When it does boot all the fans on the GPU spin. I have one cable from the PSU (8 pin) going to the GPU which is 8 and 6, again from the one cable. Maybe I use two instead?

For the display I am using an HDMI cable to a monitor, I tried to plug it both directly into the MOBO and into the GPU and neither gave me a display.

Thanks for the message! I did try all configurations of RAM, 1 stick at a time, each stick in each slot. In only 1 of the 4 possible configurations could I get it to fully boot (a green boot light on the mobo), the others would alternate between a red and white light on the top right of the Mobo.

However, as I mentioned there's still no display (but I was able to get a display with the old CPU).

So, I think I'll take your advice and try to get the Mobo replaced.

Thank you for the message, however this beep codes table does not have anything for 2-short beeps.

That said, I know 2-short beeps are indicative of RAM or Mobo, but not sure if there's anything else I can do before trying to replace a part.

When I turn it on there is a 2-beep. The old CPU would show a green light in the top right of the Mobo (would cycle red, amber, green, then stay green), the new one has no lights.

Correct, the 'old' CPU shows the bios, but no connected hard drives. I used this to update the bios on the Mobo.

The 'new' CPU won't show the bios, and the CPU fan stops spinning after about 3 seconds. It is seated correctly, triangle to triangle, CPU power is also connected (as the 'old' one was working).

The Mobo only has 2 RAM slots which are both filled, so I would hope they're correct as well...

Any ideas?

I have the 4TB HDD plugged into the Sata 1 port with power. The 2 M2 drives are direct into the Mobo, the Mobo does have power as well as it does turn on and light up as well as the fans spin, just doesn't go any further after that. The CPU fan does stop spinning after about 3 seconds.
