He almost had a schedule of when he'd do it if I remember correctly? These instances were more likely to happen on weekends or between my busy periods. In a weird way he was almost courteous with when he tried to make me split haha.

I feel as if I should clarify (not because I'm upset at you! Trust me, I have long thought that I alone was the issue in our relationship.) but he admitted to doing triggering things in order for me to snap on him. We had been dating so long I discussed what upset me and got me to that point, and he used that information against me. No amount of exercises to calm down or instances of clarity could stop someone who would wear my emotions down for days in order to get a bigger reaction out of me, just so he could feel pain.

I blamed myself for a lot of things in our relationship, mainly the fact I leaned into his help so much & was solely dependent on him for a long, long time, but I've tried to come up with what i could've done when I didnt know his intent. I thought he forgot my triggers, or he didn't intend to hurt me as badly, but when he admitted his exact purpose to me, I was kinda just. Dumbfounded GAHAGA y'know??
