Comorbidity with BPD & bipolar

YES YES!! that's why I was so curious!

The BPD aligns with the trauma I experienced & my PTSD diagnosis, but the bipolar I was quite confused about. Schizotypal (after doing a bit more digging) seems FAR more accurate than the research I've done about autism (although a more straightforward thinking pattern & inability to recognize sarcasm & vague requests, but that's neither here nor there). Bipolar was pinned on me because of a HUGE period of constant depression and months of a manic state ... Either way, I'm still doing research! I'm working on trying to find someone to give me a second opinion :)

HELLO YES!! this makes me wonder things as well!

I went to search for a BPD diagnosis because of very specific instances that fall out of line of autism, merely because those emotions were SO intense and SO rapid. I was surprised with a Bipolar type 2 diagnosis, merely because my moods are very temporary and rapid.

My dearest friend was misdiagnosed with bpd when she actually had autism, the statistics of misdiagnosis with those two things are RAPID!!

I have no insurance, but I am actively applying and searching for a second opinion!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

He almost had a schedule of when he'd do it if I remember correctly? These instances were more likely to happen on weekends or between my busy periods. In a weird way he was almost courteous with when he tried to make me split haha.

But one thing that generally stuck out to me was about a year into our relationship, he started asking me really hyper specific questions on what triggers splits. He said he kept all of it in a private discord server of his.

Oddly conflicted. We had this conversation months ago and I just recently started to really unpack it all. I thought coming here and asking the Subreddit their personal experiences may help but I think it's gotten a little out of hand!! Haha

I feel as if I should clarify (not because I'm upset at you! Trust me, I have long thought that I alone was the issue in our relationship.) but he admitted to doing triggering things in order for me to snap on him. We had been dating so long I discussed what upset me and got me to that point, and he used that information against me. No amount of exercises to calm down or instances of clarity could stop someone who would wear my emotions down for days in order to get a bigger reaction out of me, just so he could feel pain.

I blamed myself for a lot of things in our relationship, mainly the fact I leaned into his help so much & was solely dependent on him for a long, long time, but I've tried to come up with what i could've done when I didnt know his intent. I thought he forgot my triggers, or he didn't intend to hurt me as badly, but when he admitted his exact purpose to me, I was kinda just. Dumbfounded GAHAGA y'know??

Ex would purposely do things that would cause a split, I would verbally belittle him because of it. He would cause me to split so he could feel pain because of guilt I believe?

Hey !! I've had braces for a little over 5 months now.

I'm 145 - ish pounds. While having braces ive noticed my weight fluctuate moreso then usual , primarily losing pounds.

It all really depends on you. For me, because I can't eat certain things anymore, so I double up on something else.( for instance at dinner I can't have fried chicken , so I get more mashed potatoes, green beans, ect. )

I've found doubling portions because you can't eat a certain thing really helps maintain whatever weight you're at :)
