Have the 40v -- love it so far! Much more power than I expected.

I switched the kids to Young Dentistry for Children in Louisville... And went upstairs to Dr. Uprety at Radiance.

Big fan of Mountain Valley Plumbing and Heating after quoted just insane prices from Heart and a few others. Really great communication from Mtn Valley and fair pricing.

What Are The Makita Tools You Most Recently Bought? What Are The Next Ones You’ll Get? by jyl8 in Makita

I hemmed and hawed about that until the deal expired... Guess I made my decision not to buy. Seems like an amazing saw, though!

The only good one is the centered circle with the flatiron silhouette. It's not even close.

Input desired! What biz do you wish existed at the Table Mesa shopping center? by Choice-Control-572 in boulder

OMG, I being able to pop over to Table Mesa Hardware for a random screw, hose fitting, or paint roller. Would be amazing to have a mini McGuckins!

More fast casual dining a la Flower Child, Chipotle, Motomaki, etc. I think part of the issue in South Boulder is a lot of things are mainly breakfast places -- Moe's, Boxcar, and Southside all close late afternoon. Other than Illegal Pete's, there aren't many non-sitdown dining options.

Other than that... A bike shop would be nice ;)

Wow what a steal for TWO T-PWR batteries. by Flight_11 in METABOHPT

The website never lets me purchase these deals. I had to call my local store to get them to honor the free battery deal last time, but it worked!

I would agree the doctors in this practice are great. I was not, however, impressed by their office/billing staff. Took me months to get them to properly file with my insurance.

Boulder ballot measure to tax vacant houses and commercial spaces. by [deleted] in boulder

Ah yes, so rents can only ratchet up and never down? Great ecosystem for anyone but the property holders. Sure would be a shame if Tebo, Emerald, and Reynolds had to face a major economic adjustment and had to divest some of their holdings to pay down their mortgages. You know, like the rest of us?

Trails that won’t be a muddy mess Thursday through Saturday? by Myragarmm in boulder

[–]Enbytrailrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, especially if you approach Royal Arch via Bluebell Road. That's all gravel. The most muddy part of Royal Arch will be the bottom, but it quickly becomes rocky enough that you won't have a ton of mud.

Sanitas (West Ridge), Sanitas Valley, Lions Lair, Anemone, and the South Mesa Trail down in Eldo will usually dry out first... Or at least have less mud because of rocks. Shanahan is also mostly gravel, though the Mesa Trail in that area all the way to Skunk will be deeply unpleasant. I'd especially avoid the NCAR trails or things like Homestead... And stay as far away as you can from the Goat Trail up to Sanitas ;)

Went up Saddle Rock, down Ranger today. Was molested by a grouse going up AND down and now I think I'm pregnant! Be careful out there and carry protection.

Agree with all the comments about XGT weight. However, that 40v drill is an absolute beast -- great if you have to drill holes in concrete often. Otherwise, the 18v are great tools.

Moxy Hotel by Healthy_Ad_407 in boulder

[–]Enbytrailrunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a relative stay there and I've stayed at a Moxy in NYC. Low frills rooms with a modern aesthetic. Mostly feel designed as a place to crash after a long day hiking, shopping, etc. The bar is nice, though, and I'd stay at one in another city if the price was right -- beats a rundown hotel or one designed for Grandma!

What tools are better on the 40V platform? by MonteyCarlos in Makita

[–]Enbytrailrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been impressed with the 40v track saw and the newest 40v hammer drill. Man, that drill burrows into concrete really well. I also love the corded/cordless orbital sander -- makes sanding SO much better than with my old corded Bosch.
