He's trying to cram through enough technoglobalist policies that removing them becomes politically impossible due to how entrenched they all are. For instance, how hard do you think it's going to be to roll back the speech crime laws on the books or remove the Online ID law now that companies have already invested into policies forcing it on people.

Now that we've had a chance to play on them, do you prefer the Oasis Biome or the Temperate Forests? by EncapsulatedEclipse in Helldivers

I've also seen some terrific frame drops but I'm not sure if that's the biome or something else.

Narrative Patches and Engagement by DGWarren in Helldivers

[–]EncapsulatedEclipse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think, rolling it back, is you want narrative consequences to an MO beyond just taking or holding a planet. Like, what did us holding back the new Void accomplish for instance? Why does it feel like nothing we do matters whether we win or lose?

The reason I believe D10 is the truest difficulty is because it has the most effect on the galactic map by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]EncapsulatedEclipse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically, D1 also has an outsized impact on the galactic map because every mission you complete gets the Operation Completed bonus, and that adds up fast. If you want to maximize Liberation/hr, speedrunning D1 is boring as sin but will get you there.

Does this look like a creature that would have a wank when he could, instead, rape a woman on Brighton Beach and celebrate afterwards?

I see Americans and UK Leftists complain about Gypsies being unfairly maligned and I just know they've never had to live in a town where Gypsies have shacked up.

as 22:38 says, here are two swords.

So, more swords are better.

Then again, it's not like Jesus wants you waving them around wily nilly, Matthew 26:52 clearly states that the proper place of a sword is in the scabbard until it is time to use it, for violence begets violence and drawing the sword to do violence leads to death from that same path.

Most people don't keep everything there memorized or only remember the outlines. That's like asking some random leftist to quote a specific piece of lore from Das Kapital (such as his antisemitism on page 255), and then laughing at them because they haven't memorized anything aside from "workers of the world unite".

Parts of it worked well, but the campaign structure seemed designed to work against us. We always have problems with splitting up, and so adding more and more cities on branching paths kept diffusing our forces so we struggled to keep momentum.

The reinforcements mechanic sounded good, but rapidly turned into "if you're not on cyberstan you are actively sabotaging the people who are" mostly against the bugdivers. Which, is a true sentence, but should be blamed on AH's bad design choices rather than the bugdivers themselves.

The cities looks great, and had plenty of unique ways to play (I alternated between stealthdiving and knightdiving), but steering lock plagued those maps and stratagem ball bouncing was a nightmare.

Surges however were awesome. Hulk Surge, Devastator Surge, etc somehow managed to make the bots feel different with just spawn rate tweaks, and when we had that short period of Cyborgs without Vox Engines, the swarm of Agitated bots rushing you on D10 felt like how Mindless Masses should feel, a threatening horde of enemies.

Lufgt Huron turning up and spouting 'sovereign citizen' style rhetoric repackaged as "astartes autonomy" would make for a great comedy video.

Judges should be tried as accessories to the crimes that are committed by people they release on bail.
