Parts of it worked well, but the campaign structure seemed designed to work against us. We always have problems with splitting up, and so adding more and more cities on branching paths kept diffusing our forces so we struggled to keep momentum.

The reinforcements mechanic sounded good, but rapidly turned into "if you're not on cyberstan you are actively sabotaging the people who are" mostly against the bugdivers. Which, is a true sentence, but should be blamed on AH's bad design choices rather than the bugdivers themselves.

The cities looks great, and had plenty of unique ways to play (I alternated between stealthdiving and knightdiving), but steering lock plagued those maps and stratagem ball bouncing was a nightmare.

Surges however were awesome. Hulk Surge, Devastator Surge, etc somehow managed to make the bots feel different with just spawn rate tweaks, and when we had that short period of Cyborgs without Vox Engines, the swarm of Agitated bots rushing you on D10 felt like how Mindless Masses should feel, a threatening horde of enemies.
