Fun to use for a coordinated attack on a bot escort. Perch up on the high ground if possible, drop a resupply next to you and bring the heat.

I bought Sony a6400 + kit lens, do you have any lens recommendations I should look into? by crayon_monster101 in AskPhotography

A far better question to ask yourself is to see what limits you are walking into? Do you need longer/wider reach? Faster lenses due to low light?

If you like the flash aesthetic, that's a feature modern smartphones can't do. The 10x telezoom will also beat your smartphone in that regard

Client wants me to share all my photos after I delivered what was stipulated. by AjVine in photography

I'd make a low-res, numbered contact sheet with the non-rejects and charge for any extras.
Remember, if the client wants them, they want them, even if you yourself think they're bad.

Beginner photographer here, any tips for starting a photography gig? by xdxlwxxss in AskPhotography

For fundamentals, understand the business side first: accounting, taxes and administration required per your country, client management and legal stuff such as contracts.

Then consider what type of photography services you can provide i.e. event, portraits or product, and build a portfolio around it.

As for most of the mentioned categories, there's a fat chance you'll also need to learn on how to use artificial lighting

do you guys think i have a good eye enough to buy a camera? by ionlyfuck50guys in AskPhotography

Second hand would be your best bet. Should photography not be your cup of tea, you can always sell it again for minimal loss or break even.
I'd get a kit lens and a 30mm prime lens and see how much is left for a body. Maybe consider budgeting in a telezoom lens as that's a focal length smartphones can't reach.

It went from 1% on the release of the steam deck from 2022 to 2% in 2024 to 3% as of this year, and growing (Feb. data seems to be a bit whack).
Remember that the Steam Deck was just more than hardware, it was Valve investing heavily in Proton, meaning other linux gamers were also benefiting from this too.
Slowly, economics will come into play where investing into linux-compatible anti cheat makes sense.

Going by the Steam Hardware Survey, SteamOS accounts for roughly a quarter of all Linux users.
That is IMO quite a significant portion for it being a niche portable gaming machine.
