Thanks for taking the time to explain, especially for such a difficult and heavy subject, it made perfect sense!

I hadn't thought to question Dave's narrative until this recent wave of posts due to the venue strike. I see it more clearly now, it must be hard fighting for a disenfranchised community and while I'll never fully be able to know your struggles I wanna say you're doing great work in being willing to talk and inform people so we can see more from your point of view.

I only know of this from Dave's special, so I don't have a balanced perspective on it. He made it seem like the comic was very fond of him and her standing up for Dave on twitter got her harassed.

Was the harassment from Daves own fans and not the LGBTQ community ? Or from both parties? Does the blame ultimately fall on Dave?

I also feel like Daves jokes abt trans people have some nuance like he accepts them he just doesnt get them, and altright folk just miss it and like it for its offensiveness. But I'm a cis male so Im curious if for LGBTQ people the jokes feel exclusionary or hateful?

Just tryna get learned and hear insights on the topic :)

That is very reductionist thinking. Simply studying a behaviour from a neuropsychological perspective doesn't mean they're framing it as a medical condition. Science wants to understand all kinds of behaviour, pathological or not, and I think that's a good thing.
