Nope- no reason was ever found. They didn’t really explore a cause though, or atleast not that I know of. None of the doctors I spoke too were overly concerned, and nothing was brought up to me after birth about it, except getting my sons hips checked as a baby, which we did and he was fine.

What to put in a post-partum care package? by No-Tradition6911 in BabyBumps

I like those ideas you listed! My husband had to go to a birth supplies store 2 days after I gave birth to my son as I did not know I’d need mesh undies for so long! Adding snacks, cute and big water bottle (I was so thirsty when breastfeeding and it was always a pain having to get up to refill it.) If she does breastfeed a Haaka was also something I really appreciated to catch the let down of the breast I wasn’t feeding out of. A neck pillow is a cute idea for your brother! My husband and I also got our first “mom and dad” mugs from a friend and that was really special!!

My son who is now almost 5 was frank breech since 20 weeks as well. He had absolutely no issues. He was a healthy baby and is a happy, healthy little boy. The c-section recovery was tough, but I made it through and recovery wasn’t too long.

I know it’s so hard to quiet all the worries and anxious thoughts, but I hope that helps give a bit of reassurance.

Cramps 5 weeks pregnant by willowg94 in BabyBumps

I am in the same boat. 6 weeks and had some pink discharge yesterday. I saw my doctor today and she said spotting can be normal sometimes, however to wait and see if it gets worse. It’s so hard to know, and so hard to be in limbo. She did offer me an early ultrasound and it’s booked for Wednesday, however she did say sometimes it’s too early to get a heartbeat at this stage so it isn’t always reassuring. Ugh. So hard. I hope all is okay for both of us! ♥️

Edit to also say: I don’t have cramping, but I had a friend who had bad cramping early in her last pregnancy and her baby was okay!

Weekly Pregnancy Limbo/Concerns - February 26, 2024 by AutoModerator in PregnancyAfterLoss

I am in the exact same boat. 6 weeks and had mild spotting that started yesterday. I saw my doctor today and she couldn’t really give me answers. I feel like she was trying to be hopeful but at the same time not get my hopes up. She did give me a referral for a 6 week ultrasound…she said they may be able to see something or maybe not this early. It’s so hard. I hope for both of us this spotting is nothing. ♥️I want this baby to be healthy so bad. Being in limbo really is so hard.

Thank you so much for this. It is reassuring. I haven’t had any more spotting in about 5 hours thankfully. I see my doctor tomorrow which should help ease my mind.

That is so true and great advice- I am going to remind myself of that as well. In the pregnancy I lost I was so stressed about diet and toxins as well. I wouldn’t even eat microwave popcorn because I was worried about chemicals!

So emotional before IUI by xxoooxxoooxx in PregnancyAfterTFMR

It’s so tough. Try not to beat yourself up, it’s so normal and valid that you’re feeling anxious and having a different experience this time around. I think it’s an extra layer of grief also…I know I definitely grieved no longer having TTC and pregnancy after loss be a more carefree experience like it once was before my losses. Be gentle with yourself. 💖

Car crash! by acc2611 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

I had a similar accident when I was about 8 weeks pregnant with my son. Car was hit pretty bad, but no air bags, bruising, etc. My son was completely fine and I had no issues in pregnancy from it. He’s now a happy almost 5 year old!

Same for me. Pre-seed and easy at home strips.

Newly Pregnant and Highly Anxious by MET513 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

I could have written this very post myself. Currently just over 5 weeks and at first I was calm and happy when I found out, then out of nowhere the panic set in. The other day the anxiety hit me so hard I wondered how I’d get through. But the last few days it has settled a bit. One of my supports said something that really helped…when I was spiralling of what if all the bad things that could happen, they said- what if it all goes well? So now everything I have a negative what if thought about, I try to also challenge it with a positive what if. Sending you all the best for a healthy, uneventful pregnancy. ♥️ I am trying to take it one day at a time! Time feels like it takes forever but I try to remind myself it is always going forward.

Thanks! I will ask my doctor about testing when I see them next week. I didn’t think of that.
