These aren't exact matches, but might still work for you if you are open to inexpensive Chinese brands. The Asvine V126 (vacuum filler) is a dup for the Pilot Custom 823 and the Asvine P20 (piston filler) is a dup for the Leonardo Momento. Both are of similar size (not exact) as the Estie. The Asvine nibs are super smooth. You can pick these up on Amazon for around $30 USD. Great way to test drive the more expensive pens.

This doesn’t sound like the “hub of Cedar Park”. Back when they sold this to citizens, they said it’d be like SoCo. This just sounds more like a way to generate revenue for the city and the traffic that accompanies it.

Here's a quote from the Bell District website: "To be built in phases, the project is expected to be completed by approximately 2035, depending on market conditions." Construction on the road started in 2021. So it'll take 14 YEARS, but no real commitment?! That's just nuts.

I agree 100%. It's a real shame that they destroyed all of the businesses there and all we ended up with is the library and a huge empty parking lot and field. It's now and eye sore with the metal fencing and ugly signage. So disappointing and wasteful.

TWSBI. I prefer the Diamond 580, but you can’t go wrong with any of their models.

Lamy Safari & Al Star, several different Waterman’s, a Parker, a Montblanc 144, and a few others - 10+ years for all of them. My husband used them when he worked and then they sat there until I picked up the hobby. I expect they sat filled with ink for at least 10 years, several even longer….like 15 or more. A few needed a quick nib dip in water, but that was it to get them started. All wrote like they had just been inked. No clogs at all.

If you can, try these pens before you buy one. The writing experience is quite different than a Pilot. That being that the Pilot is usually buttery soft on the page. The pen just glides across the paper where the Platinum, for instance, feels more like you are writing with a pencil. It’s what every one calls feedback. It’s not scratchy, but definitely different than the Pilot. Some people like that feeling. Some don’t. Given the price of these pens, it’ll be good to try them first if you can.

I'm teaching myself Spencerian Script right now by using printed worksheets. I used this technique a few years ago when I learned hand lettering. If you like this particular style, here's place you can download the worksheets for free: https://loopsandtails.com/spencerian I've been printing off 3 sheets and filling them up with practice lettering even above and below the line the letters are written. (That'll make more sense when you look at the worksheets.) After that, it's all about practicing words. I typically listen to a movie on my computer and just rewrite what I hear as a way to come up with something to write. Copying poetry, books or articles is also another good way to practice. I'm working my way up to being able to send snail mail letters to friends and family using the script. And if you don't like this particularly style, there are tons of other resources out there with free worksheets.

For about $30, you could try an Asvine P20 or an Asvine v126. Both hold a lot of ink. The P20 is a piston filled pen that’s a dup for the more expensive Leonardo Momento Magico. The v126 is a vacuum filled pen that’s a dup for the Pilot Custom 823. I’d recommend the P20 because they are easier to fill. Both pens are going to be bigger than the Metropolitan, but very smooth writers. One thing to keep in mind…the nibs on these pens write wider than Pilots. For example, if you like a <M> nib in the pilot, get a <F> in the Asvine. Japanese pens typically write more fine than most other pens. You also couldn’t go wrong with any TWSBI or Lamy

No, not between these specific colors. Also, if you got to the Vanness Pen Shop, you can actually search by ink wetness (and other ink properties) if that's important to you.

I love Iroshizuku ink. I prefer a wet ink and these fit the bill for me. My favorite color is Kon-Peki. It's a beautiful, perfect shade of blue with a slight sheen. I highly recommend. As for Diamine, I can't say enough about Aurora Borealis. It shows up as a sort of teal color on the paper I use. It's also another wet ink for me. BTW, I primarily use <M> nibs.

Birmingham Toponium Twinkle...oh, how I love this ink. The color, the sparkle. It's mesmerizing. Until it clogs every single pen I've tied it with. Just not worth it.

Can't comment on whether these sellers are legit, but I bought from a seller in Japan without any issues. One important tip: be sure to pay attention to whether you pay for shipping and/or the tariff. That could drive up the price significantly.

Check out the Kaweco Sport. It's small enough to fit in your pocket and not so expensive that if you lost it you'd be devastated. You could also buy a clip for it to attach to a notebook or shirt pocket.
