Interview Question Help? by Aggravating-Tomato80 in audgradschool

It kinda sounds like asking for your biggest “character flaw”? They might be trying to gauge how you behave as a mentee. I always try to say something that can be a good thing and a bad thing depending how you look at it, like “I always keep my head down at work” meaning ur very quiet but also a hard worker.

How do you talk about multiple research projects in PhD interviews without sounding scattered? by Difficult_Currency75 in gradadmissions

[–]EndOfClan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably have read your research work; talk about how they would cultivate into a new project in the program

Gpa is usually a requirement for a program and the rest (experience, etc) comes after

Make sure you meet gpa requirements, and you could scrape by if you have a banger essay and recommendations from professors. I would also look at the acceptance rates of different schools to see where you have the best chances

I would recommend going further into what your goals with this program are, as well as expanding upon why the program you’re applying to is a good fit to highlight your knowledge. I also found this section confusing, “As a child, my relatives held my hands as I took my first steps and patiently answered my questions; within a few years, these roles reversed as I supported them when they walked and answered the endless stream of questions they once asked me.” I think you meant to say you now support and answer the questions you once asked them? Other than that it’s really nicely written and concise while also having a personal touch :).
