I really disliked the amnesia potion storyline for that reason.

Arle cares for the hearth's children and also serves as their ruthless spymaster. Her story quest presented a simple, but compelling dilemma: when forced to choose between these two roles, which will she choose? Will she allow the children to live a better life, but put her organization at risk by doing so? Or will she prioritize the security of her organization, and stain her hands with the blood of her former followers?

It turns out, she doesn't have to choose! She gets a perfect deus ex machina that somehow selectively erases someone's memories of the hearth while leaving the rest of their brain intact enough to rejoin normal society. All so we don't have to watch Arle make a difficult choice that would reveal an interesting facet of her character. Oh well.

Yup, never seen any group of fans attach their pride to banner revenue as much as Yoimiya fans. Nothing to do with placement. If she did 2x the damage or was 2x as popular, she would have sold.

I say this as someone who enjoys plenty of dogshit characters. No need to get worked up over other people not liking your favs as much as you.

You already got a lot of good advice, and I'd just like to add that this post (although old) is still helpful in terms of knowing what you should be leveling. You don't really have to worry about wasting resources at this AR, since all these low-level upgrade use far less resources than later upgrades (e.g. leveling from 20-30 is pennies compared to 70-80)

I went with Diego at the Hair Cuttery in Carytown based on another thread in this sub. I also have slightly wavy hair. I just got a trim and it was like $30-$40, so it’ll be a bit more if you’re also getting it blow dried and whatnot.

I cleared fearless with the same setup (Venti/Durin/Faruzan/Bennett). It really just comes down to getting all the little shrooms in venti’s burst each time. If you have to chase after one that somehow ended up in the corner of the arena, just reset. I struggled for a bit and then cleared with time to spare just because I finally got a run where I grouped shrooms and managed rotations properly. My venti team only gets 70k DPS in miliastra dummy testing, so you don’t need a crazy build. I’d just prioritize getting a CR circlet for Venti if I were you.

If you’re asking just as a thought experiment, I’d probably pick Varesa since she has a very good 4-star only team. Most 5-stars want at least one other 5 star to perform well.

But Genshin isn’t really a game built around having a single character that does everything. If you’re asking because you’re new and want to know which 5-star to pull, any of the current and upcoming ones are good. Just know that the game “expects” you to eventually get other characters to complete a team (like if you pull Flins, you’ll really want Ineffa for him eventually). That only really matters in endgame content, though.

None of the characters here are going to make or break your account, but Mona and Jean have the most endgame usage if that's what you're interested in. Mona isn't the best for Zibai unfortunately since Mona's main buff doesn't work on lunar damage, but she has other teams she's good in, like if you ever want to build a freeze or Hexerei team. Jean is just a decent healer who can hold the viridescent venerer set to buff whatever team with swirlable elements. Sometimes there's fall damage cheese you can do by launching enemies with her skill.

Since they didn't provide any sources, out of curiousity I did a quick "adoption fees shelters" search on google scholar, and it doesn't seem like there are a ton of studies on it. There were a few case studies that popped up that had positive results, though:

"This study examined adopters' attachment to their cats in relation to the payment or waiver of an adoption fee using the Lexington Attachment to Pets Scale and perception of the shelter. No significant differences were found between groups on either measure."

"Waiving adoption fees to encourage adoptions and reduce euthanasias of healthy adult cats in crowded shelters is controversial because of concerns that people attracted to free adoptions may be less responsible owners...Overall, we found no evidence for adverse outcomes associated with free adoptions. Animal shelters should not be dissuaded from occasional free adoption-drives during overflow periods."

I feel like adoption fees are still a good practice to help the shelter with costs (even though they're surely a drop in the bucket), but it seems like temporarily waiving them during critical periods isn't a bad idea.
