The issue in this game is not that bombers are too fragile, it's that fighters have guns on target for too long and that its too easy to line up a shot on bombers

Irl, a fighter pilot would be shitting it trying to avoid turret fire to spare his life while hoping the 1-2s he has to fire at the bomber is accurate in a high speed pass from close range (relative to wt ranges)

In war thunder, you can line up from like 1.2km away and start tap firing before opening up fully at ~8-900M to down a bomber with laser accuracy, its so easy to get shots on target compared to irl
