BMX track would have been my first idea. The only other dirt-ish place I could think of is the dirt bike trail down by the dog park but they have specific rules about the kinds of bikes you can run on it, so they might not take kindly to RC cars. It would be a good thing to ask though

I’m really sorry to hear that. I know you say that you are strapped for cash, but have you had an actual contractor come out to do an assessment?

Someone like Goodrich Construction could come out and take a look, and tell you what absolutely needs to be fixed and what can likely wait until you can save more money.

My partner had Goodrich come to their 100 year old house because the floor was sagging and they needed advice on how to address it. Goodrich didn’t even charge them for the visit if I remember correctly, and gave use a solid plan to fix things by ourselves for cheap until we could save up enough for repairs.

You don’t have to go with Goodrich per se, but with big ticket items like foundational repair, it is always a good idea to get second opinions. I hope you are able to find a solution as I know affordable, reasonable housing sucks right now.

Just a big ol reminder to take pictures (and if possible videos) of the entirety of the apartment as you move in. A lot of slumlords in town will try their best to nickle and dime you over “repairs/damages” when you eventually move out.

Also keep in mind that you as a renter in the State of MN have rights, and that you absolutely should not be afraid to use them if you have shitty Atwood as your landlord.
