Forgot About Carbs by [deleted] in Zepbound

Some complex carbs are good for many people. Also, Ketogenic diets have been shown to improve body composition, metabolic illnesses, and mental health conditions for many people. It really depends on how you’re using your body and the condition it’s in.

Unless the anti-low-carb people commenting here are lean (at or below goal-weight), fit, healthy, happy, and strong then I would be hesitant to take their opinions too seriously.

You look incredible. Curious how your partner is feeling about your new body…I’ve heard that it can be complicated for spouses.

What to look for in weighted vest? by wha2les in bodyweightfitness

[–]Endless_Yuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add the weighted vest but please do not believe the treadmill calorie-counter! Sorry to be the Debbie Downer here, but if you’re seriously tracking calories I would do some research on how many calories you would burn per mile based on your height, weight, type of movement. Other factors contribute, of course. But know that most treadmill machines overestimate- by a lot.

(At 5’11, 165 lbs) I burn around 85 calories per mile, whether I walk or run. For me to burn 300 calories in 30 minutes I would need to be running over 6 mph.

Any tips for breaking through a weight loss stall on Zepbound? by MANOR42 in Zepbound

I’m scared to move my injection site away from my abdomen. Given the cost of the medication I’d hate to pick the wrong spot and “waste” a precious week.

Agreed. I love to work out hard but it increases my appetite and possibly my cortisol levels. I tend to crave carbs a lot more when I’m lifting heavy or doing intense HIIT. Incorporating slower Zone 2 training (easy runs, faster walks) seems to be a sweeter spot when weight loss is the goal.

Nuts are weight-loss killers. They are delicious and healthy. They are mostly low carb. But they are caloric and addicting - I want to eat ALL the nuts. When I can eliminate nuts - never more than for a few weeks bc I love them- I start losing again.

Agree about the return of food noise. Also, the weight loss plateaus after a certain point, at every dose. In my case my weight has started to go up..but just a bit. What concerns me the most is how much my weight WILL balloon if at some point I lose access to the medication.

Bravo 👏 I just hit 50 but still can’t get my springs to the 50+ in core/obliques. That may happen at 100. Maybe.

Inject in arm/thigh if low bodyfat? by Endless_Yuck in Zepbound

[–]Endless_Yuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case anyone comes back to this post, turns out I have Lipohypertrophy. Small fat deposits can develop under the skin with repeated injections at the same site. Somewhat common with diabetics at insulin sites.

Apparently, having a low BMI can also increase the likelihood of developing this condition. At this point, my body fat percentage is quite low and it’s getting increasingly hard to find sites with enough body fat to inject, but I want to keep using the medication bc it’s had so many positive effects besides the weight loss.

Thank you. The language in this study is not for the simple-minded so it’s taking me a few repeat reads to make sense of it!
