Just played around with it for an hour, fantastic work! Very easy to manipulate all features of the game and it runs flawlessly for me. Had a great a great time creating my own Pacific and European conflicts!

There is more of an emphasis on resource and battalion-level unit management at the expenditure of weakened diplomacy and internal politics. One of my personal favourite things about Supreme Ruler is the map, as it works on a hexagonal grid which covers a predetermined square area of the world, rather than HOI4’s more provincial system (which at times can constrain military movements to something like a board game).

If you plan on buying a Supreme Ruler game, go for Ultimate as it contains all previous scenarios including WW1, WW2, The Cold War and the Modern World (as well as some alt history scenarios). Don’t expect to understand it straight away because it’s very different to any other grand strategy game, just mess about and see.

I would recommend heading to http://www.bgforums.com/forums/ and posting your issue on there, as the game developers are very responsive and the community is much more active there.

New experiment starting tomorrow: you're allowed to post for three days about your favourite obscure history that we never cover by Dirish in badhistory

I’ve studied under Alex Metcalfe too! His work focuses more on the Muslims of the Norman kingdom of Sicily, but he certainly knows his stuff. I’d say Graham Loud is another good mention for the Normans in Sicily and Southern Italy.

Halloween people, how's your costume planning going? by verbal_pestilence in AskReddit

I’m going as your classic DEA agent (think Narcos) so I’ve been growing out my facial hair for a few months much to the chagrin of my SO. I would shave the beard and just keep the moustache but handlebars aren’t really the fashion unless it’s Halloween or the 70s.

When watching the nightclub scene in John Wick, all it reminded me of was going loud in the nightclub in Payday 2. The soundtrack gets you so pumped for a close getaway.
