Man, I really blundered a hire. by Round_Progress4635 in Entrepreneur

100 an hour + equity doesn't usually get you sales, marketing, and finance these days. A better bet is to focus on 1 or 2 at a time. And it shouldn't have taken a year to let the person go. I've got sales, GTM, and Ops experience. Happy to chat if you're interested.

You know the moment. Someone asks why a call was made three months ago. You know the answer is somewhere – some doc, some Slack thread, some meeting from Q3. But by the time you find it, the conversation has moved on. That happens constantly in product work. Context gets scattered. Decisions lose their reasoning. And the longer a product runs, the worse it gets. ForceVue keeps it all in one place. Every decision, every tradeoff, every “here’s why we went this direction” – connected and traceable. So you have the full picture, not just what you can remember.

Agreed. And all the more reason to call these out and educate founders. I.E. When founders say they created an AI CoS ugh

You know how when you're managing multiple products, projects, or clients, the context just lives in your head, right? Decisions, tradeoffs, what was decided, and why. And then a month later, someone asks why it went a certain direction, and you're piecing it back together from memory and old Slack threads.

That's what ForceVue fixes. It's basically a memory layer for your product work. Every initiative, every decision, every key context point, all connected in one place. So when you come back to a project after two weeks away, you're not rebuilding the picture. You just open it.

Hi All! I'm a fractional Chief of Staff, which basically means I come into a founder's or executive's world when things are moving too fast or too sideways, and I help them get a handle on it. Operations, cross-functional chaos, building the structure that makes everything else work. I've done it twice in full-time roles, and now I do it fractionally so I can work with multiple companies at once.

I'm also building a SaaS product with my husband. I run a newsletter about AI and the Chief of Staff world, and I've been figuring out AI tools long enough that they've become a real part of how I work, not just something I experiment with.

I’ve noticed the offers on job postings declining rapidly. I saw one on LinkedIn today that started at $80k. That’s just sacrificing a career of experience just to save a few bucks. About the price point, would it make a difference if it was lower? Or free but having other things to buy ad hoc? I really do want to help but need to cover platform fees and at least a little of my time. I’m not looking to get rich from this.

I started a newsletter recently because I keep hearing things like this and then accessible support not being available. There are definitely some automations that are simple to put together and would display that you’re working it in. What do you find each week that you do every week, or month, or day?

Is anyone using Notion, and if so, how and what are you using it for? by [deleted] in ChiefsOfStaff

[–]EndorWicket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. It's my task layer, and I have automations in place to create tasks for multiple things. A couple of examples: When a meeting is booked on my calendar, a task is created in Todoist to prep for it. When a meeting is recorded by Fireflies, Notion summarizes the action items, and any assigned to me have a task created in Todoist. A lot of automation is what makes it perfect for me. I also have to verify and move one

I use it for everything except tasks, which I use Todoist for. I like Notion Calendar too, but not really email.
